Receive two antennas. One antenna is so loose that it won't remain upright, even if the antenna isn't extended. The second one is a little tighter, but just barely enough to remain upright as long as the antenna isn't set an an angle. Not worth returning so I'll probably wrap some electrical tape around the base to keep the antenna in place. Would not buy this product again.

I bought these primarily for use on some older 'secondary' scanner radios. They're not going to to compete with outdoor antennas...they're not going to compete with $30 specialized tuned antennas...they WILL do a fine job for basic scanning and can even be 'tweaked' somewhat for the band you're listening to by adjusting the antenna length. The knuckle at the base of the antenna is nice for those like me who are OCD about antenna positioning.Overall I am VERY happy with the purchase for such a reasonable cost.

My only complaint is the connection at the pivoting knuckle seems pretty loose/wobbly, so I don't know how long these will last before breaking. You can bend it up at 90 degrees and fully extend it...it'll stay put without falling over to the side.Reception seems pretty good, no complaints. Good for what it is.

Easy to install and stays in place, I can get police and fire calls from 3 counties away with no static, and you get 2 of them for one low price.

One of these antennas is useless. It don't stand up, tips over when fully extended. It should have never made it past quality control. I need to quit buying this cheap chinese junk from amazon.
