Vienna Beef Mild Giardiniera 16oz

Delicious, however the second jar I received (Vienna Hot Giardiniera) was not properly sealed and fluid leaked into the inner cardboard box.Since fluid leaked out, air seeped in thus contaminating the jar’s contents and rendering the product unfit to consume and it had to be thrown away.To compound matters, this product is not returnable and efforts to obtain a refund from either Amazon or Vienna proved worthless.

I worked in downtown Chicago for several years a long time ago, the Giardiniera was on every sub. I developed a taste for it, However, every single Giardiniera I've seen since leaving Chicago has had cauliflower has an ingredient (sometimes huge hunks of it!). I HATE cauliflower! For years I have been looking for Giardiniera without it. Finally, I came upon this one. No Cauliflower, great tasted, just like the one used on the subs downtown. A little on the expensive side, but worth it.

Can't find this stuff in Northern California. Glad I ordered it. It's what I grew up on in Chicago and bring back very pleasant memories when I add it to my homemade Italian beef sandwiches (another thing not available here.

I was born and raised in Chicago until the age of 35. I've eaten the combination Italian beef/sausage sandwiches on countless occasions with these giardiniera peppers. The flavor is unmistakable! They're a bit pricey for the 16 oz jar, but well worth the price. I also purchased the Vienna bright green relish for hot dogs...also nostalgic and DELICIOUS!Updated 10/2020: Just ordered 2 more jars. It's my favorite condiment right now!
