Industry standard ----- esp wood boats
A bit expensive but when you don't want the product to slump and you have a lot places where it might be squeezing out and running then this is useful

A long and wonderful history continues.
Built 23 boats, house furniture, odd shaped plumbing (for drainage) fittings, and lots of other strong stuff using WEST System products. Having tried other brands, there are none better. Seeing the WEST System name on their products gives me confidence whatever I am building will stay built.

This stuff is amazing!
This stuff right here is incredible. I used this to filled enlarged screw hole in fiberglass on my boat. This stuff not only filled the holes which were about 1/2” round, it dried harder than concrete. Once it dried I pre drilled holes and screwed the screws back into it and they were holding better then when the boat was new! This stuff really does the trick!

Six10 for Boat duties
I have used Six10 over the last 8 years for boat projects. This stuff is fantastic. It has primarily been used as a filler for holes. I've used it to fill gauge holes as well as misc. screw holes when I remove or change something on the boat. It sets up well and sands well with a Dremel. It is extremely strong when hardened. Fill the hole with Six10, sand it down below the gelcoat, the add you gel coat filler, and 'viola', it's like the hole was never there.I also used Six10 when I installed my swim platform. The swim platform had stations that mounted below the waterline. I called West Systems and explained what I wanted to do and they said this was perfect for it. What I did was, drilled larger holes than required for the bolts to mount the stations to the transom below the waterline. Filled the holes with Six10. Let it dry overnight, then drilled the proper sized holes through the Six10 to mount the platform stations. This protects the wood core transom in case you have a sealant leak below the waterline.Great stuff & I highly recommend it for multiple projects.

Easy to use
Used this to fill a few holes in a boat from changing out the outboard and mount. It hardened overnight, did not expand at all and served its purpose. I would order again for any marine application.

Don't buy this product
I've used a lot of the West System products over the last year or 2, and they have all been really great. This product is the exception. I bought 6, realized I was going to need more and bought another 6: 12 x $33 = $396. I might as well have flushed $400 bucks down the toilet.I got half way through the first tube, and it just locked up - no matter how much pressure I put into the caulk gun, nothing came out. OK, bad tube, no worries, try another: locked from the start - didn't get a drop out of it. Same for the next 3 tubes it tried. I tried different caulk guns, in case that was the problem - but no, it's the tubes.Plan B: went back to just using their standard 105 + microfibers and using the usual tools - not optimal as the caulk gun method was what I really needed.I would 100% NOT buy this product again - learn from my mistake...

Don't stick to your project
Read the instructions first. The product worked for me. I would give ti a 5 but it did not perform as stated in that it will not hold coming out of the tube on a ceiling application without pressing it down with something. The work time is excellent. Stays workable for about 15 minutes. It will not secure to slick finishes and can easily be removed with a razor blade. Tape the areas you do not want anything to get on and remove the tape as a last step before letting it dry and use cardboard around the area to be worked. Do not clean up area if you are sure not glue is on anything it will not harm until the next day. Use plastic or some type of glove have plenty of extras laying out. Once you have glued the area leave it alone for a day. It fills cracks and hardens completely in a day. It did not leave a sticky residue and can be sanded. It seem to be a physical bond rather than a chemical bond. (Physical bond goes into small cracks and holds where a chemical bond chemically melts the parts together). Very little smell.Read direction first.Put you project together without gluing and mark the parts A line A etc. Take it apart in the reverse order you will need to reassemble it. NOW go and get someone to help you. No project is as safe alone as it is with someone there to help you.Think before you open the tube and take a break (all projects take longer than your have anticipated ), go through a dry run with your helper. It you put the parts together on the dry run and they fall apart they will probably fall apart when you glue them so have a way to brace them and try it before you open the glue. You will need to change your gloves ((( every time ))) you get glue on them. If you pickup something and there is glue on the gloves it is going to stick to it and not let go. If your intention is not to glue yourself to the project change your gloves.Read the directions first!
