After a season it had to be taken apart.
Purchased this last year to heat up my at-home work space. During the cooler months (San Antonio) which means maybe several months out of the year, but still more cooler mornings than not, I have had it on sometimes 24/7, definitely 8-14 hours a day at my desk and sometimes the rest of the time when moved over to the couch where I'll rest up and sometimes fall asleep. Regardless of how long I have it on, it's never hot to the touch and I do have it running odd an extension cord. This is all at the lower heat setting as the higher heat setting trips the the sensor and it turns off after a few minutes. Pros: - Gets hot quick, - small footprint, - adjustable vertical output, - easy to take apart and clean dust and if so inclined, easy to replace the 80mm fan with a standard computer case fan (thinking of replacing with an RGB fan in the future). Cons: - Heat output is too directed and focused instead of spread out, in a larger room you need to have the heater close to feel it as the 80mm fan can only move so much air. - Because it has such a small 80mm fan, when on the high setting the little fan does not do a good job at pushing enough air to keep it running past a few minutes before overheating and shutting off. I did experiment by adding an additional Nactua case fan in the rear and it was able to run for much longer on High, but that's impractical. - and the biggest con I can see for folks is you will need to disassemble to clean built-up dust from the fan and radiator with either a can of air and toothbrush or a mini air blower with a brush. Dust gets captured in the radiator so the 80mm fan (same as a computer case fan) struggles to keep the element from overheating causing the unit to shut down. While disassembled, the wire cloth casing was coming apart so I used some cloth electric tape to cover exposed wiring. When putting back together, ensure none of the wires are touching the heating element which may be the reason for some of the burning smell and shut downs for a few folks as per burning smell comments. After all is said and done, you can't use it at the highest setting but it's a decent little heater if you need to warm certain parts of your body, because the heat is too directed to warm large areas of your body; you can warm your feet but your knees will get cold, if you warm your knees your feet get cold. Since the heat is directed, it would be nice to have a lower heat setting because it can get a little hot. If it was able to maintain the High heat setting, I can imagine that due to the concentration of the heat output that it would be uncomfortable and thus not practical. Currently looking for another space heater that spreads the heat a little better through oscillation. Update: After over three years of near continual use, it has finally died. It will no longer turn on. I used it most days of the year because my feet get cold while at my computer desk. And my cat loves it too. I've tried a few other small heaters that I can rotate at a downward angle, and they were way too hot, to intense, noisy and more for when it's really cold. I have found this is the perfect year round foot warmer. I've found it pretty easy to take it apart and clean the dust. At one point, I had considered upgrading the 80mm fan to a Noctua, but didn't get a chance, maybe I will for the next one. We'll see. For now, $20 for a replacement is darn reasonable.

I like it, I use it often during winter :-)
I use it while in a cold bathroom with outside walls during cold months. Can adjust direction of output. Can touch it without cooking hands. Instant full heat pumping out. Puts out a lot of heat for it's small size and the fan has 2 speeds. Had a slight odor for a day or two(about one hour of use). Not a bad smell(since it was temporary) just a temporary distraction. Does not have anti tip cutoff. Will not heat a large room well but great for a small cold bathroom. Quality product

Size is perfect for small space; heat output is very good.
I'm using this small heater in my bathroom. The bathroom's fan alone wouldn't keep the steam off the mirror. Yes, use precautions, never have it near the water, but for my situation, it's great. I love its size and efficiency.

Unsafe at any speed
Unsafe at any speed (to coin a phrase). This unit has no tipper shutoff protection. It has a over temperature shutoff but that will not keep it from setting a fire if tipped over against flammable materials. Hence I consider it unsafe and will return it.-Ag

Great for an RV.
Great little heater to put in the cargo under an RV in the winter to keep water line from freezing.

Cheap power button
The heater throws out a LOT of heat…but made with cheap parts. The power button broke and falls off after the first use.
