Nina and The Beast
Kostya, the hunter, the fighter. Nina, the sister to Viktor, and a very strong soul. After 10 years, Kostya finds himself looking after and saving Nina from an action-packed series of events. There are also lots and lots of steamy moments! I love all of JC's books, and this one is fire!

Kostya and Nina - love truly conquers all
I’m enjoying all the books in this series. They are very well written with awesome characters. I really enjoy how all the books weave together creating an ever widening family and story. Only 4 stars for this book because I didn’t like all the jumping back and forth thru time. I think it detracted from the story and believe a more linear approach would have been better.

Decent read, good progress in series
Read through KU subscription. This is a decent read, with good lead characters, steamy scenes, and an interesting plot. I can’t give it more than three stars, though, because there are too many growls and snarls and whimpers in it, the steamy scenes need to be polished, and there are unnecessary inconsistencies.I feel like this author could do so much better. Perhaps he needs a good proofreader, good beta reader, someone to point out things that easily could be fixed.Hoping not to spoil anything: it doesn’t take much to double check your script to make sure that you don’t mess up someone’s name page to page (Pierce vs Pierre). The Russian bad guy buys guns and equipment with cash, hides his face, and we’re supposed to believe that the gun dealers took, as secondary payment, the promise that he would share the FMC with them. Yes, I’m sure gun dealers honor the promises of anonymous criminals. “that will be $50,000…but we can give you a 15% discount if you share the woman you’re planning to kill or kidnap...identification? No, we don’t need anything like that. Your word is good enough for us.“No one, not one single person, who saw 10 dead bodies courtesy of an automatic weapon, would believe that someone actually took them out with a 45 handgun. I know we suspend disbelief when we read these books, but that’s just ludicrous. If you are protecting someone, I don’t believe the best way is to set up a line of mortars within 20 feet of them.Another complaint with this book, the same as the last book, is that people get shot a lot and seem to recover within an exceptionally brief period of time. One person, though, did take three months to recover. Also, where did the newly-introduced Russian guys in this book get the money they had to do the things they did in this book?I will read the next books in the series, and that’s probably only what the author is looking for, but only if they stay on KU.

Linked Pasts
Kostya Romanoff, raised by Lev Nychkov and Nikolai Antonov's father, Fyodor Kuznetsov, and on the loose from prison upon hearing of his demise. With a debt owed he takes from them as they took from him.Nina, sister to Viktor Komarov, head to the Chicago branch of the Kashenko Bratva. A past linked unknowingly. Hunted by one who would kill her and won who wants to own her. Thrilling storyline throughout. One thing that confused me was I thought that in the first book she had been found eight years ago vice six years which is stated in this book.

Enjoyable
I loved Nina's story with Kostya. The storyline, history, action and steamy romance made it difficult to put down the book. It was well written and the characters were engaging.

IN ABSOLUTE LOVE
When I found this book and started in on it, I wasn’t expecting as many surprises as you had so generously provided! All of which have me in love and enslaved to the romance that becomes Kostya and Nina. I seriously don’t know what or how many words I could write to show my love for this novel!I don’t think I’ve ever read a novel where I so thoroughly enjoyed and looked forward to the Male’s POV. While I love Nina, and everything she was, I was truly enamored with Kostya and how you came to humanize him and display his flaws and all — this was amazingly done, SERIOUSLY. ❤️

Well done!
Found this gem from a tiktok recommendation. I’m not even a big m/f or mafia romance reader usually. Russian mafia and/or Bratva ones I usually avoid in particular because they are no joke in reality. If I read something about them there needs to be at least a serious attempt at the real life gravitas they command—at least for me to be a reader. This one was a great balance of that and fictional license. I’m glad I took a chance on it and will definitely check out other books by this author!

I loved this!
I love Lev & Zoey, but these two jump right to the top of my couples list. The pain and hurt that these two have had in their lives is overwhelming. I had to stop and remind myself that this is a story. And it was quite a story. I was so involved in their story that I felt their pain. I’m so glad that they are healing each other. Jagger Cole is a heck of a writer, I forgot about the hot sex, because of the story. It all flowed so well together. The sex wasn’t the main part of the book. On to the next Bratva story!

Good story
A previous reviewer pointed out a couple of glaring mistakes in the writing. yes I agree with her that they were pretty damn big boo-boos, but they didn’t take anything away from the story, just a brief eyes rolling moment for me. BUT THE EDITOR SHOULD HAVE CAUGHT THEM FOR SURE. anyway, I enjoyed the story, it was a bit rushed in places, but overall it was good.

Great story, good tension
The story is really enjoyable and well thought out and I enjoyed the sexual chemistry between them. I was just disappointed by the lack of detailed physical description of the male character and also the female character doesn't reciprocate much sexually. It's difficult to believe that she is so hot for him when she just receives his attentions and never gives him any.

Good read.
I love how Nina and Kostya found and are healing each other. I love the shared history that this book has. Kostya is impressive, he survived so much. I laughed at the part of the book when Ninas on a date.

Another brilliantly written book in an amazing series
I loved Kostya and Nina’s story, love that he saved her over and over while loving her from afar.Typical of one of Jagger’s books it has everything a brilliantly written story, suspense, triumph over adversity and hot as sin sex.Bring on the next book.

it was a little slow
I liked this book but it was a little slow at first. A lot of back story which I understand was needed but sorry I got a little bored at times. But in saying all that it was good, storyline was good and so were all the characters which all come as one in these series. I felt for Kosta and everything he’d been through, he’d suffered a lot as did Nina. He and Nina are good together and you’ll find out why when you read this book.
