Yes - as stated by Cam, you can connect the light to an external mobile battery pack (e.g., Anker 20,000 mAh, etc.), but be sure and protect your connections at the light and at the battery if riding in inclement weather; by charging while using, you risk sacrificing some of the weatherproof protection normally afforded by the charging port cover; this applies not only to driving rain... but also road spray generated from the front tire up into the light;

Does this recharge with mini usb or micro usb?

Micro USB... same type the ps4 and modern smart phones use.

What size bar/tube is the clamp made for?

Very small diameter. Would not fit around the fat part of handlebars next to the top tube even with rubber removed. Had to return.

What is the battery wattage? I want to take mine on a flight but can't figure out if I should put it in my carry on or checked baggage.

If you're worried about taking it on a plane, you want capacity (Watt-hours), not power (Watts). Cygolite doesn't list battery capacity, but I did some math, and it's probably in the 15-25 Wh range and definitely under 50 Wh. It's going to be a little less than the capacity of a similarly-sized USB power bank, since both are mostly filled with battery, but this has the lighting components as well. The math, if you're curious: Most likely, they're using an 18650 or 21700 cell. A 21700 is 21 mm in diameter and 70 mm in length, or 24.2 mL. Wikipedia says the energy density of a Li-Ion battery can be up to 693 Wh/L. If they used a maximally-dense 21700 , it would be 16.8 Wh. The highest-capacity 21700 cell that Battery Junction sells is 5100 mAh. The nominal voltage of Li-Ion cells is 4.2 V. If they used one of these 21700 cells, it would be 21.42 Wh. Amazon says this light weighs 6.4 oz, or 181.4 g. Wikipedia says the specific energy of a Li-Ion battery can be up to 265 Wh/kg. If the *entire* light were made of battery, it would be 48.1 Wh.
