Great price for a 3 sensor ATO
I decided to try it even after reading the reviews. If you don't have a rimless tank you need to improvise to install it since no acrylic adapter is included for that type of aquarium. I installed mine in the canopy that I just built for my 65g saltwater aquarium. Before installing it, I followed the recommendation given in one of the reviews and sealed the optical sensors with silicone to avoid any water to get inside them. In my initial tests it was working as expected, but 5 minutes later it started filling the tank, although the optical sensor was below the water level. It didn't stop until the overflow sensor kicked in and stopped the water flow. At least the overflow sensor was working as expected. I removed the excess water in the tank and it started again to fill the tank. Again, the sensor was under water but it was not working. This time my refill bucket got empty and the sensor inside the bucket triggered the alarm and the pump stopped. This sensor was also working fine. The little pump included is working awesome. It pumps water to a high of 60 inches in my case.I took the sensor inside the aquarium and cleaned it and got it dry and checked to see if any water got inside. I didn't see any. I put it back in the tank and make more tests. This time everything started working as expected. As of today, 6 days installed, is working fine. The seller was aware of what was happening and was willing to replace the sensors if water got inside it. No need as of now to replace. I am happy with it.Overall, for the price, you cannot find anything like it with 3 sensors.I will update if anything wrong happens to it.

2nd one leaked acid everywhere, gave me 2nd degree burns, and killed all my fish.
EDIT: The 1st pump I bought finally died. You can replace the pump with any 12v pump. Added some pics below to show how easy (and cheap) it is to replace the pump.EDIT: I liked the first one so much that I bought a 2nd for another tank. Killed all the fish overnight (some of which I've had for 10 years), and when I opened up my cabinet it had leaked corrosive acid everywhere. I got 2nd degree burns trying to clean it up.EDIT: After running this ATO for several hours today I had to do some MAJOR modifications to it to get it to function properly. BUYERS: If you don't want a flood on your hands DO THESE THINGS!1) This unit DOES NOT have any kind of timer. Most ATO units will stop pumping water after a few minutes as a top off shouldn't take hours. If there is a problem with both sensors, this unit will keep filling until your entire house is flooded. Both sensors can EASILY fail (see below):2) IR sensor fail: My sensor failed when bubbles from my airstones collected under the lens. The unit thinks there is free air in the tank, and will start a never-ending fill cycle. 2 factors contribute to this. a) The excessively long acrylic housing with HOLES up and down it for different screw spots. Air gets trapped in the screw holes and transfers DIRECTLY up to the IR lens. YOU ABSOLUTELY NEED TO CUT THIS ACRYLIC down to whatever height you need. The extra holes are a reservoir for bubbles, which will fool the lens. Also put the sensor FAR away from any airstones or you're asking for trouble!3) Float sensor fail: My sensor failed when the wiring got stuck above the float valve. MAKE SURE THE FLOAT VALVE is free from obstructions. A decoration, the wiring from the unit itself== catastrophic failure of the float system.4) PUT A TIMER ON IT: If #2, and #3 fail (which mine actually did), you'll have a catastrophic flood on your hands. I strongly recommend attaching an outlet timer of some sort on this unit so it can't keep filling forever. I have attached this thing to my power grid. If it stays on for more than 8 minutes every 24 hours, I have a timer that will cut power to it and sends me an email that power cut was initiated. If you pay close attention to the above, you'll have a very functional unit. I highly recommend taking the steps I outlined above; I personally have a lot of sensitive electronic equipment that a flood would completely destroy. I can't have that.------ MY ORIGINAL REVIEW IS BELOW ------I researched all of the ATO products and decided to take a chance on this one. I've kept fish for 5+ years and finally decided to finish the system off by integrating an ATO. My friends and contacts who have been doing this for 30+ years had never heard of this particular product, and I was somewhat hesitant to buy due to the paucity of reviews online, however...THIS SYSTEM IS AMAZING. I can't believe it's only $70. I haven't seen a single system out there that has 3 separate sensors, and the rotary style pump blows away submersible pumps. The build quality is solid and it pumps back a TON of water into the tank unlike other models which will only produce a trickle. Dual sensors (infrared+float) to detect overflow is a huge plus. Chances of having a disaster are MINIMAL.In-reservoir IR sensor is a nice bonus. It won't run the pump dry (even though it's a rotary pump so it shouldn't matter), but more importantly it emits a sound continuously until you refill the reservoir.I just set it up today (setup was VERY easy, by the way) so time will tell if it keeps working, but I'm very impressed so far.

Superb
I will give this product a 5 star. Hands down. For this price, i tested everything and it is working, 3 sensors, worth it. Really worth it.But the holder for the sensors did not match my tank size, so i had to modify it to fit my tank.I am very very surprised to see how sensitive the sensors are, especially at this price range.I highly recommend this product. I dont get what the fuss is about with all those expensive auto top up products out there like tunze. Everyone knows that price is not reflective of the quality of the product, no matter how expensive the item is, at the end of the day, its still product of china. This auto top up system by marine color is superb in quality. Respect the producer for valuing quality.Edit: After a few days of usage only, it broke down on me. The sensor eye was not even tightly sealed, and water somehow managed to get in and interfere with the sensor. I couldn’t remove the water in it and i am planning a refund.

Awesome ATO system.
Works very well. For the price it can't be beat. I use a 5 gallon water jug as my resivor and everything fits in nicely. For a tiny pump it sure can move the water. I has tho move the water 5 feet up into my tank and it does the job. The bracket needs to be made where it can hang on a rimmed tank. I had so do some modifications to it.

Not sturdy use caution
Everything works but isn't very strong... I was hand-tighting the level sensor bracket and it flexed a crack right at the top and fell in the sump ... I had to use zip ties to secure it to my lid ... not happy
