Q: Does it change through the 6 images or does it stay on one at a time?

It has a dial. You rotate it to change the picture. Change it often, if you leave it on the same one it fades the picture. Also, the light sensor is awful. It never turns off, even with 2 100 watt bulbs on the ceiling lights on.

Q: My plugs points are horizontal. Is it possible to rotate the pins so I can still project image on the ceiling?

The light rotates 180 degrees so your horizontal points will work. However, I wouldn't buy the six image projector. It's about $15 more than the single image and has no added benefit because the image is manually rotated and won't play on its own as some projectors do. In effect, you really only ever see one image. Not worth the extra money.
