We purchased these gates to keep our dogs on the deck when we wanted to relax. We had a wide opening so we added a center post on that side, using two gates. They were very easy to install and look great. Our deck is grey so we purchased grey gates. They retract easily and fasten well. Highly recommend.

So our dog is undergoing TPLO surgery on her knee at the end of the month and we needed to create a space outside her crate that kept her near to us but secluded her from the staircase and slippery hardwood floors in our house. The best place available to us was our formal dining room right off our living room but there are no doorways, just extra wide opening on two walls. We didn’t like the idea of those fancy accordion-style gates because she could have easy tipped them over if she tried and they were pricey to get nice looking ones. When I saw these I thought based on the extension measurements (up to 72”) they would be perfect. So we ordered two and my husband installed them last night and she is loving the space. She is crate trained already but with the conservative management approach we’ve been taking prior to surgery to keep her from damaging her leg more or hurting her good hind leg, she has felt very cooped up - so this makes a world of difference for her. The gates look so nice installed and they are mesh so you can see through them… she can see us through the barrier and we can see her! Also they match our home’s decor without looking cheap. They are very easy to open and close you just have to allow them to retract slowly so they don’t wrinkle as they roll back up. They are the perfect height to keep her from jumping over them and while they are “flimsy” they are sturdy and I don’t feel like they will tear apart easily. So far I’m very happy with these and my husband said the installation wasn’t hard but he’s quite handy and had all the appropriate tools (a drill and electric screwdriver being helpful). Highly recommend for anyone who has a similar need or a dog that is already trained on small spaces or crates.

Pros- nice to look at, retracts so it’s out of the way, easy to install, fits our 72” doorway no problem.Cons- my very clever puppy realized she could go under to get past it. It needs a more rigid bottom band/strip to help prevent that, I think. It is tricky to open and close if you have weak hands. Maybe an optional handle attachment would help.Meh, I don’t love it but I don’t hate it.

I look for value when I shop. Not the least expensive nor do I get swayed by brand names. I think something should work and feel as though it is worth a little more than what I paid. This gate is a perfect example. If you take your time and layout both sides with the included templates, you can't go wrong. Really strong and yet simple to operate. We bought it to keep our dogs on the front porch. This is definitely a value!

Work great so far. I installed it so when the door is open or shut it is working. The little dog did figure out how to go under it, but after we said no to him I think k he won't do it again
