Never wore this vest outside, but I have heated it up while inside on several occasions. So I can say it does get hot, and I can say it's very stylish. Furthermore it's easy to operate, and it fits perfect under a coat that has just enough room. But here's the problem, or should I say here's the issue: heat is produced in the belly area, the collar area, the hood area, and the back area, but no heat is produced in the chest area. In which I do not have a damaged product because you can feel the heating pads in all the mentioned spots, but you don't feel any pads in the chest area. But this doesn't mean that your entire torso won't become heated. For the heat travels throughout the entire vest which leaves you hot, or warm all over your upper body(including neck, and ears) to a degree.

My husband loves this vest, wears mainly during various hunting seasons in Michigan (Oct 1-Dec 31) Quality is much better than expected, and it holds the charge for a very long time! He wears this probably once or twice a week, and only charges it a few times throughout the season. Several different heat zones and temperatures, easy to control. It does take a bit longer to fully charge, (about 3hrs) but maybe that's why it holds the charge so well. Definitely recommend and would buy again.

I had to get a 3X and I usually wear a 2X, knowing that since this is my 3rd coat I've purchased. I also have the puffy coat and the heavy style work jacket. I have used it mostly in 35-45 degree weather on medium setting with all 3 sections on, I get the battery down to approx. 50% in about 2 hours or so. I also have a spare which I haven't had to use just yet. I use this to take my Dog to the dog park, and I usually am outside with him from 1-3 hours so a charge lasts even if I have to bump it up to high.I'm sure if you are only using certain sections and not all 3 then your battery life will obviously increase.It does what it says, it's a comfortable vest, keeps you warm, and it looks nice as well. I've been recommending them to all my friends at the dog park.

This definitely seems like a very high quality vest. It came in a great carrying case that was well made and the vest itself was very soft and comfortable when I was able to get it on.I ended up sending it back like many others simply because it was way too small. The sizing on these things almost seems to be made for a child and even a double or triple extra large will barely fit an adult male that normally takes a medium or large size. I know that many things made in China are smaller than normal because the Chinese people are generally smaller than Western Americans but the sizes are just ridiculously small.I ended up purchasing another vest called Dr.Prepare here in Amazon that is almost as nice but not quite but had a very ingenious idea of zippers on the side that allowed you to adjust the size from medium to double extra large. I had to unzip all of the zippers for the double extra large size and then it just barely fit me at my current size, though what I liked about it is that since I'm going to the gym regularly and I'm losing weight I can shrink it down as I lose weight. This is a really smart idea on their part and even though it is a slightly lower level model then this Ihood, it's still pretty nice and works well. The only difference is that the doctor prepare did not come with a battery pack but that did not bother me as I have several 10,000 and 20,000 milliamp battery packs around here already that fit in the pocket perfectly, even the big 20,000 milliamp one.If this jacket had the double or triple extra large sizings I would have certainly kept it and not sent it back at all.

Excellent vest very warm last a long time

Have had my vest for 2 years now and it still works perfectly! You can even charge your phone from the long lasting battery pack. I'm petite. The vest fits perfectly and does not feel bulky.

Worked better than expected. Similar heat to more premium models. However the heat in the hood is really useless unless it’s only on the neck. Selecting Heat at the top feels like it’s either or, not being able to feel heat on hood & neck at the same time.
