AJA U-TAP SDI Simple USB 3.0 Powered SDI Capture Device

Like all other AJA products I use, this device is reliable and built well. I use it multiple times during the week, both in studio and remotely to convert HD SDI for streaming platforms like Zoom and StreamYard. I use it for both broadcast and organizational use—major audiences where quality counts.

This is definitely the best SDI capture device that I have used. It works seamlessly with VLC Media and unlike other products does not require custom software to display or record SDI video.

Plugs in the computer and camera for instant access.

A bit expensive but works great! Sometimes you have to pay for quality. I use this for live streaming with an ATEM switcher.

Can't really tell if this unit worked well, but it seemed well built and easy to use. However, after using two of these units on our PMW-F5, and both units not working, it became obvious they wouldn't ever work on this camera. These unit's SDI feed can NOT support PSF (Progressive Segmented Frame) as a signal. PSF is like an older in-between of Interlaced and Progressive. AJA Support was helpful both times, I wish the original call would have caught what was happening, they told me my unit was faulty. After trying a second unit I called again and they figured out the problem. I USED THE HDMI VERSION, no problem there, Loved it actually.. just want the SDI for future use.

The AJA U Tap is an excellent video capture device. I’ve used AJA products many times in the past and have never been disappointed. We used this particular device in a custom portable Flypack for a Zoom Conference system utilizing a 4K Broadcast switcher, 20x video router, 30x 4K PTZ cameras and rack mounted Dante enabled audio mixer with RF microphones and In Ear Monitors. Allowing our client to increase the quality and production value of their Zoom meetings and streaming.

Funktioniert einfach. Auch beim MAC kein Problem. Nur eine Software dazu vermisse ich.

Très bon pour travailler à distance en temps de Covid. Facile à installer et utiliser. Fortement recommandé.
