So glad we chose this Robotic Pool Cleaner
We had been searching and researching which robotic pool cleaner to purchase for more than a year now. We were thinking of going with a cordless; however, because they all had mixed reviews and seem to be new to the market, we were unsure it was a good investment. We decided to look at the Dolphin brand and were pleasantly surprised to find this gem. Yes it has a cord, but because it has a type of buoy on the cord close to the robot this helps the cord not get tangled. It picks up dirt, sand, leaves etc. with out any problems and it goes up and along my pool waterline (sideways). It has gotten stuck on my pool stairs twice now, but I don't see that as a major issue. However, it will clean the bench area in the pool without getting stuck. The filters are easy to remove and clean, and you can eventually if interested upgrade them to ultra-fine filters. I like that you don't have to wait for the robot to map your pool, it just starts cleaning as soon as you start it and even though it does not have the mapping option it cleans the whole pool in one cleaning. I have the model that connects to Wi-Fi, only because the option without Wi-Fi was unavailable. The application is nice, you can check to see if the robot is still cleaning, also if you still have it in the pool and want to start a cleaning or schedule one, you can do so on the App. Overall, this being my first robotic pool cleaner I believe it is a great product and value for the price; I would totally recommend.

Buy 3 so you can have a reliable pool cleaning! Or look elsewhere to another manufacturer!
Where do I begin? I bought this from Amazon back in 2023. It worked perfectly until it stopped climbing the walls of the pool. Before I sent it out to Maytronic's authorized repaid center, under warranty to fix, I bought a back up. That was on March 23, 2025. 11 months after the first purchase. Upon receiving the new one, I sent the first one out for repair. It took 5 weeks to get it back! Has I not bought the second one as a "backup" my pool here in the Las Vegas summer heat would have been infested with algae! It took over 9 times to get the product to connect to the same wifi (2.4mhz) as the first one. Which was very frustrating. I placed it in the pool, and it worked fine an "climbed the pool walls" to do it's job as advertised. The first one was returned from repair and I noticed it looked the same as when I sent it. The guide wheels looked "used" as when I sent it. I casually dismissed the notion thinking it was "repaired" to its original working condition. Fast forward to September 18th. The back up (newest Dolphin) just stopped working. After 5 back and forth emails and phone calls, Maytronic finally agrees to issue a warrant RMA for repair. So, shipping cost for a second Maytronic dolphin was one me. Now I was out an extra $123.89 for TWO failed Doplhins plus the cost of over $1,845.00 for buying them. The back up only worked for less than 4 months in the pool! I place the original (repaired) Dolphin in the pool and the wifi hooked up immediately! BUT it would NOT climb the walls which was why it was sent in for repair! Unbelievable! Needless to say, it gets worse. The back up Dolphin gets sent again the their authorized facility and after the repair, and numerous calls to Maytronic's 3rd party call center in the Philippines, agrees to send a "prepaid" return label, the RMA and ship directly to Duluth Headquarters for repair. Meanwhile I have NO Dolphin in my pool and the algae grows. My back up plan failed miserably when I trusted their product! Now fast forward to October. I was promised another "prepaid label" to fix the wall climbing problem that wasn't fixed in the second repair!!! During this process (5 weeks now) Maytronics sends me an email. See below: Dear James Bxxxxxxxxxx, Thank you for contacting Maytronics Customer Care. I have confirmed that your Replacement Dolphin order has been shipped. Your tracking number is (797663863661) with the carrier FedEx. Please allow 3-5 business days for your Dolphin to be delivered with Ground shipping. Customer Care Team Turns out that this items is being sent to Duluth by A DIFFERENT customer not my return replacement! Unreal! Si, now I have a missing Dolphin, and email after the first warranty RMA was issued, asking my to prove the purchase receipt. Thankfully, Amazon order history was able to show "proof of purchase". So ask yourself, how did they loose the original receipt and approve a warranty (RMA issued) ? Just to recap as of today the Dolphin sent in TWICE for repair so it can clean the walls of my pool is still not working and I am waiting for the RMA< Prepaid Label! The missing Dolphin sent to Maytronics Duluth location is still missing!!! 3 unanswered emails with notice of purchase sent, I have heard ZERO from this company! Would I recommend this product? Sure if you buy 3 for continuous back ups you might be ok. Will update this saga as in develops. UN pleased customer for sure! $2,000 later and still NO working product in my pool! Not to mention the added $386.00 of additional algae liquids I had to buy to keep the pool from turning swamp green.

Game-Changer for Heavy Debris Pools – Excellent Product, Company and Customer Service
Game-Changer for Heavy Debris Pools – Excellent Product, Outstanding Support I’ve had the Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus Wi-Fi Robotic Pool Cleaner for over a year and a half now, and it’s been an absolute game-changer. This unit is a total workhorse—and in my case, a lifesaver. I have a massive Jacaranda tree that drops what feels like millions of tiny leaves and sticks into my pool (which is not screened in), and this cleaner handles it all with ease. The small twigs that used to be nearly impossible to remove with a skimming net are now gone without lifting a finger. It’s incredibly easy to use, and even convinced my pool contractor—who once thought robotic cleaners were a gimmick. Now, after seeing mine in action, he recommends it to all his clients. I use it twice a day, and only recently (about two months ago) did I start having a couple of minor issues. One of the treads would occasionally pop off, usually on the steps, but it was easy to reattach and never a big deal. I also had a problem with the control box—the unit wouldn’t complete a full cleaning cycle. I contacted customer service and was genuinely impressed. They responded quickly, issued me an RGA number and a return shipping label. I covered shipping to them, and they covered the return. They estimated 1–3 weeks for turnaround, but I had it back in just 5 days. Not only was the issue resolved, but the unit came back completely refurbished with new treads, a new hose, and a new power supply—possibly more, but that’s what I noticed. It’s now back at work and running better than ever. After 18+ months of consistent use, I can say this is not only a reliable and powerful cleaner, but it’s also backed by a company that truly stands behind its product. Friendly, responsive, and efficient service makes all the difference. Highly recommend—especially if you deal with heavy debris. This cleaner is worth every penny.

No pool cleaner is perfect but...
After reading literally hundreds of reviews, I purchased a cordless pool cleaner - it got 35 five star reviews on Amazon and none less than that! I was impressed. I turned off the pump so it wouldn't get stuck on the (raised) drain. It got stuck. It got stuck on the stairs as well. In both cases, it got free after some effort. The problem with these cordless cleaners is that they are power limited because of the battery and freeing itself gobbles up energy. The cleaner also struggled to get up the walls. Plan B was to purchase the Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus with WiFi, based on the reviews. In choosing a cleaner I considered the size and shape of my pool because it became clear to me from the reviews that one size doesn't fit all, i.e., a great cleaner for one pool might be terrible for another. I have a lap pool that measures 45 x 7.5 feet, is about four feet deep throughout, and has stairs on one end. I have used the Nautilus CC Plus three times. My pool doesn't get a lot of leaves or debris so I don't need a large basket. The provided baskets are more than ample. My biggest problem is the junk that collects at the waterline so I had hopes that this robot would be helpful. The Frequently Asked Questions, included in the documentations, answered the question, "Does my Dolphin clean the waterline? Answer: The cleaner is designed to climb the walls, but does not reach the waterline". See attached video. This does exactly what I need it to do. Obviously, they need to hire a better marketing person. This robot does not get stuck over the raised drain with the pump running and drawing water from the pool. It climbs the steps (seems to love them) but will occasionally get stuck on a step or in a corner, but it releases itself, and because this is tethered you don't have to worry about draining a battery. It also has considerable power and thrust for climbing the walls and stairs due to it drawing current from the power supply. My only concern is the wear and tear on the paddles/fins, whatever, when it gets stuck as sometimes they keep spinning against my PebbleSheen surface before releasing. Time will tell. I have not been able to pair it with either my iPhone or iPad but I have contacted the company in hopes that they can solve the problem. If not, this is not a game changer for me. Finally, just put it in the water and walk away. I found myself getting stressed and yelling at it, "Why are you attacking the stairs? You haven't touched the other end of the pool? Why do you keep going over the same area?" I thought that this was supposed to be smart and map out the pool but it didn't appear to be doing anything intelligent. I finally went away and when I came back it had covered the whole pool and picked up everything. The robot does not have a memory so every cleaning is a new experience, like a goldfish doing a swim around the fishbowl and forgetting the last pass. Cleaning the filters is a breeze. See the photo of the debris that it picked up on its first use. You can spend a lot more for a pool robot but at this price I highly recommend this cleaner. Update: I have now had this robot for a while and am still very happy with it. The customer service has been excellent. After a few emails back and forth about the WiFi not working they decided to send a new power supply. That fixed the problem. With the Dolphin app on your phone you can turn the robot on and off and schedule it to clean every day or two other options. Unfortunately, you cannot control the robot. This would be useful as it did get stuck a couple of times, and rather than wait for it to free itself (it was taking a long time on the raised drain or step) I decided to free it manually. Perhaps in the future they might add more capability to the app so you could get the robot free without having to intervene manually. I would love to be able to tell it to reverse when it headed to my steps. In conclusion, I stand by my recommendation about the efficacy of the robot and now can add that they have great customer service. Update 7/24/24. The customer service person suggested that I moved the floats closer to the robot, which might alleviate the robot getting stuck on the stairs. I moved the closest one and this seems to have helped. I just purchased pleated filters, which are for finer debris and not included when you buy the robot. I was skeptical but I thought that I would try them. I first cleaned the pool with the filters that are supplied. Immediately afterwards I put the pleated filters in for another cleaning cycle. They picked up really fine material that the standard filter missed. When I rinsed the pleated filter it looked like mud was coming out of them. So these really work. I would not recommend using them without using the coarser filters first because some large particles get stuck in the pleats and not all of them will rinse out easily with a hose so you have to manually separate the pleat to get them out. That being said, there were only a few of these particles so it was no big deal. The robot continues to work very well. I always remove it from the pool when done as I've read that the robot and cable will deteriorate faster if you leave it in the water, however that's for a very long period of time so it's up to you if you want to leave it in the pool and have it come on a particular schedule. Update: June 5, 2025. There was a lot of debris in the pool when it was opened this season. The CC Plus did a great job but keep in mind that if there is a lot of debris you need to empty it more often, i.e., don't let it run the full two hours. After several cleaning cycles I was able to run it the full time. One thing that is aggravating is recoiling the hose. It has a mind of its own. If you start to coil it clockwise it's OK for one or two coils but then it decides it doesn't want to go in that direction anymore. Grrrrr. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it.

Initial experience is good......but now and update!
2nd Update: After 2 new power supplies (2nd one they sent was a new updated version) I still cannot connect and now the cleaning unit is not working properly, maybe due to all of the changing and testing they had me do, I don't know. But it will just move forward then backward about 3 feet over and over. Finally they decided that needed to send it all back to them! They sent me an RMA and instructed me to box it all up (all original pieces) and send it to them by UPS. I had to pay for the postage there ($75) and they pay for the return trip. Not happy about that but what'cha gonna do? Anyway, they kept it about 3-4 days and sent it back. I plugged it in and it immediately connected to my wifi and phone app. Works perfectly now, and I have no idea what they did. After a month, it seems to still be working great but I'll keep my fingers crossed! Update: After 8 months of fairly good use, it decided to no longer connect to my phone app. After multiple tries I decided to contact their customer support. They responded within a day or two and we went over some different steps to get it to connect but none worked. It was escalated to the next support level where they decided to send me a new power supply (this contains the wifi and Bluetooth receivers). I received the new PS in about 4 days and then began to try again. I tried 2 different Android phones and a new IPhone but none would connect to the new power supply. Now that's where I'm at, the cleaner does fine if you start it manually but I paid extra to get the wifi model so that I could create a daily schedule that would run the cleaner whether I was at home or not. I still believe that this is decent cleaner but something has gone wrong with the connection. Maybe an app update that messed it up? Who knows? I'm waiting for customer support to return my email about what they want to do next. I will update this review. OK, I've been researching for a robotic cleaner to replace the basic Pentair Racer that came with my pool. After 3 years it just wasn't doing the job. I decided on a corded robot because I know from experience that rechargeable batteries will go bad after the 1st year or so, plus corded robots can stay in the pool over extended periods if necessary. I settled on the Dolphin Nautilus CC plus wifi mostly due to its name and reputation. Now, after unpacking and setting it up, I will give my initial opinion. Very easy to unpack and set up, only need a very short start-up guide to get it cleaning. Put it in the water, plugged it in and pushed the button, started cleaning after about a 2 minute warm-up. Downloaded the app and set that up in less than 5 minutes with no hang ups or issues. App connects to the robot easily. Now with that said, I'm not sure that the extra money for the wifi app is really worth it. It only has the single, embedded cleaning patter, so you can't select other patters like some other robots will allow. The only thing that you can can do is schedule it for multiple days, but they suggest that you remove it from the pool after each use. I guess that if I'm going to be gone for a week or 2, I can schedule it to keep the pool clean while I'm away, and just take a chance that the extended pool time doesn't harm the robot. I wish that this had a larger filter basket. It is very thin and won't hold much once the leaves start falling this fall. I'll probably put my old Racer back in for that and save the Nautilus for when there will be less clean up. But we'll see! I'll watch this thing over the next few weeks and report back on how things are going, but as of the first day, I think that it was a good buy. FYI- the manual (along with several other reviewers) indicate that there is supposed to be 2 sets of filter baskets included with this unit, 1 set of fine and 1 set of ultra fine. I only received 1 set with the "fine" filters. I sent messages to both the seller and the manufacturer for assistance. We will see how that turns out!

Super Great Pool Cleaning Robot!
We bought the Dolphin CC Plus WiFi Auto Robotic Cleaner which cleans a 40 ft length pool, ours is 29,000 ga, and it has been an amazing robot. We keep it scrupulously clean and use it several times a week if not more as trees surround our pool. Amazed that it climbs the pool wall surfaces and gets them clean! And dives down to the deep end effortlessly and cleans it too. We have had it two years and our pool is still open w/ this warm October. I set it up easily with the app and though we don’t use the app much it is reliable. Don’t use chemicals with the robot in the water and wash the easily accessible twin filters with each use and you’ll be stunned with how much gunk the robot picks up. Worth every penny. I read all the reviews before purchase and made my choice and we are very pleased. I made the decision to buy a little bigger robot than we needed but I felt it would pay off.

Used Twice - got stuck repeatedly & it tried to clean the underside of our pool cover!
We have a 40x15 pool that is 5 feet deep all around with stairs in two corners (one big stair in one corner and four smaller stairs in another). We have a motorized pool cover that is on most of the time so we don't get a ton of debris... but when using the pool stuff blows into it, so we do need to clean it. Got this vacuum two days ago and setup was very easy. Dropped it in the pool and watched it for a while and it seemed to be doing well cleaning the bottom and sides, but then got stuck in one spot on our stairs for a half hour. So you have to be watching it and move it to get it unstuck. Used it the next day for another hour. Started with the pool cover off to watch it, and got stuck again multiple times for long periods of time! Then, with the pool cover closed, this thing actually sucked up the side of the wall and then sucked itself onto the underside pool cover and was going back and forth along the underside of the pool cover! Crazy! That's not what it's supposed to do! I called the company's customer support (in India) and that lady said these robots are not made to clean or climb stairs! I explained that most pools in the world have stairs, so that didn't make sense! I get it if they don't clean the stairs, but getting stuck on them? Then she said it's not supposed to clean the underside of the pool cover. That I should return it to Amazon and get another one. Like the new one isn't going to do the exact same thing??? After the two uses my wife said... nope, this isn’t going to work. We need to be able to use it with the pool cover closed (so more crap doesn't blow into the pool while it's being cleaned)... and we can't have it getting stuck repeatedly in the same spots and sit there having to babysit it. Oh well... Guess we will try something else.

This pool vacuum actually works. It keeps your pool cleaned.
We have been using this pool vacuum for about a month now and absolutely love it. It was definitely more expensive than other vacuums (we had been using a midlevel Polaris before) but it keeps the pool cleaner and picks up the silt and other debris at the bottom of the pool better than past vacuums. It also cleans the sides as it can "walk" up the sides and even climb the stairs. Well worth the extra money. The only downside is that is has to be plugged in and is attached to a blue cord while in the water. I pull the vacuum out when it's done but it can be left in the water until the following day. The cycle takes about an hour, and the filters are super easy to clean. I would highly recommend this product if you are frustrated with being able to keep your pool cleaned.
