as difficult as this is to believe, this is ...
as difficult as this is to believe, this is my second one of these hammers. no..........it didn't break, and i am one of those organized people who has a place for each tool and if not in use, it shouild be in it's place. I had the hammer (for sure that i know) and was using it to work on a portable generator. in late fall last year. now how do you not see a huge, oprange, hammer in the shop????? i've looked for it since abouit late sept. of 2017. i have searched the shop, house, bonus room, and everywhere i can imagine and no hammer. that's the reason for the reorder.the only thing that couild have happened to the big, orange hammer is that it accidentially got dropped in the trash can and was put to the street. maybe some soul who had need of a huge orange hammer saw it, needed it and is now injoying it.not to hurt yiour business, but I'll try to be more careful because i despise losing anything.Hreat hammer with many specialty uses. Thanks for a quality product.

Very good
Okay so this is a brass hammer and dead blow combo made out of plastic composite with a fiberglass shaft that runs through it. Its not the toughest hammer I work with but for the price and for small or fragile things it the best.

Great value.
This is a great hammer for when you need the soft face for some jobs and it has the brass face for others. I bought it for gunsmith work but it was perfect for the chair caneing that I did.

pretty nice
The hammer hammers just fine. the brass end unscrews which would be a good feature if other ends were available to screw on.

Broke two in one week. The neck is trash
No idea why they make the neck on a dead blow smaller than my pinky finger. I bought two of these for tapping in parts on the mill. the face of the brass pushed into the orange plastic and both necks snapped over time. The orange plastic is pretty thick. Imagine, from the photos, how small the neck is where it meets the head of the hammer. Snap. Twig. Not for any type of industrial use. Light taps only... then what's the point of it being a dead blow. Any brass tipped hammer can generate light taps.

Great non marring gunsmith hammer. Very light for 1.5lbs. Good quality brass head.
Great brass/nylon hammer for gunsmithing and non marring of metal surfaces. Feels light for 1.5 lbs and lighter than my 1 lb tuffman tool ball peen dead blow I bought along with this on Amazon together. Perfect for driving brass punches or light metals. A great shop hammer! Many uses! A little pricey but not too bad. Nice taper and handle for light to medium work. Better than those little tiny kit hammers that come with most gun tool combos. This ,a ball peen dead blow steel hammer, a two ounce small ball peen steel, and a plastic mallet hammer are about all you will need for gun work.

Nice concept, but not good enough
Looked like the perfect tool for the job I do. Large enough for my trade needs, replaceable brass tip, flip side is a sand filled deadblow, bright enough to easily see in dark places and small and light enough to be packable for flight travel.HOWEVER. . . . . .the first time I used it the head snapped off inside the rubber shell. No bueno.

Surprised
TBH -I really didn't think this would last long as I use the product at work. But after a few months it has really held up well. A little bit of denting on the brass cap which it to be expected. But very happy with this product.
