Extension Cable (1m)

I was putting off getting a light strip for under my cabinets as I didn’t want it run under the microwave, but then I found Litcessory products. Before purchasing I watched the videos they provide on their website, as well as some customer made videos I found on YouTube. Some of the customer videos it was obvious that either Litcessory did not have installation videos yet, or the customer just did not know about them. I have a very good background in electrical components to include soldering, so this installation may have been a little easier for me than someone without an electrical background, but with the company’s videos, I have no doubt just about anyone could split a Philips Hue Light Strip relatively easily. The pictures I included are from before and after installation, the first is with my overhead light on, the second with only the light strip on. If you purchase this, make sure to watch the videos closely before making any cuts to the light strip. I had no issues with my cuts. The only issue I had was one of the connections on the solder points was not making complete contact so not all of the LED’s were lighting up. Easily fixed this my checking all of the connections. *note: you do not have to have soldering knowledge or ability for what I purchased, though the company does offer some products that do require soldering, so go through the website as they guide you with what you need based on which Philips Hue Light Strip you have.

This cable provides functionality that nothing Philips Hue offers directly can. Being able to extend my light strip without just adding more lights was a huge factor in my design for our under cabinet kitchen lights, and this product along with the cut end adapters made that virtually painless. This all comes with the caveat that it is a bit more fiddly than installing the strip lights with just a cut or just using light to light extension connectors, but if you want to extend either over a range or around some other obstacle, there is nothing else that can do so as easily. The cable was plenty long enough to go up and over my range inside of my cabinets. It was easy to determine its orientation throughout the drop to confirm that it was plugged in correctly on the other side. And it has worked flawlessly to connect my split light strips and provide a clean look for our kitchen. If you're looking to tackle a similar project with Philip Hue products, this is what I would wholeheartedly recommend.

These 3' extensions are exactly what we were looking for. We used these with the Litcessory 6-pin to cut-end connectors to use the cut ends from the Philips lightstrip. Putting the connectors on was easy, and these plug right into the Litcessory connectors easily. We also have spots where these extenders plug directly into a Philips extension lightstrip with the Philips connection and these work perfectly. Because these are so small and flat, we were able to snake the ribbon cable and connector through some cabinets and have lightstrip lighting where we never thought we could before! These added so much to our kitchen - so, so glad we found these and they work so well ! One tip: Do all your testing before hand. We noticed you may have one twist in the cable when you connect two sections together. It was not a straight shot as we thought it would be. Good thing we tested ahead of time. Thank you Litcessory

These products worked well and as advertised. I have given the other products I used by Litcessory 5 stars The only reason I gave this product 4 stars is because there is not a very secure connection between the extension cable and the LightStrip Plus. The male in slides into the female end, but there is nothing securing the connection. I wrapped the connection in electrical tape for security.

For clarity this is for the "Litcessory Extension Cable for Philips Hue Lightstrip Plus (6in, 5 Pack, White - Standard 6-PIN V3)". It seems like some of these reviews aren't for this product so wanted to be clear. I don't always understand how Amazon's star ratings work but there just can't be a way this product is 4.5 stars, none. The connectors are so bad folks. IF you can get them to work once, you might be ok. I was able to electrical tape them at just the right angle to where the connectors would make contact with the strips and work, but if you breathed on it and changed the angle it'd disconnect again. I decided to reroute my strips and use fewer of these, but when I tried disconnecting them, the pins started falling out. THE PINS FELL OUT folks. Please, there's plenty of other options out there. Maybe some are a little more $$$ but my goodness, this was 2 days of pure frustration and they're in such poor condition after having trying to disconnect them there's gotta be zero chance of a return. I'll eat the $$$ and go buy something better. Please, do your research and find something better, it's just not work the risk with other solutions out there.

Works great. It let me cross over a sink by routing up through cabinets. 10’ is a good length. It’s be nice if the cable included two female=>male adapters so you could DIY a solder connection to a cut end more easily, but they probably don’t include a second one specifically because they sell both cut-end adapters and female=>male adapters. Anyway, it works well, but the total cost if you buy all the various pieces from Litcessory is quite high. By the way, I was forced to provide a star rating for Motion Detection, which extension cables don’t have. So I gave that feature 1 star 🙄

I never actually ended up using this in the install I did, but the connectors fit well onto the Hue pins (the end of strip ones) and the cable seems high quality and very flat and thin.

Bought this as an extension to the 5m kit for underneath our kitchen cabinets when our under existing lights started to fail. 5m and 2m installed very easily. Note: make sure you clean and or degrease the surface they are being applied to. I basically clean with a small scouring pad and multi surface spray and then dried with kitchen towel and allowed to dry. This ensures a good clean surface which having read a few bad reviews will prevent problems in the future. Hue strip lighting is slightly expensive kit but not really too much more expensive than replacing all the spots. Links seemlessly with other smart kit, Alexa and Google Home.

Made it possible to split my Hue (gen2) between my shelves and no other product offers this. I have to give kudos to Litcessory for cornering the hue market, but you do make a great product. My only complaint, would be that there is nothing keeping the pieces together, when strung to bridge a gap between sections. So they come apart relatively easily. It would be nice if there was an included sheath or band to keep the two ends linked together. I just used some poly shrink tubing and it solved my issue, but would be a great improvement to the product. Thanks for making my vision possible though folks and keep up the great work!
