How to Program: Computer Science Concepts and Python Exercises

I bought these video lectures to supplement Zelle’s Python Programming (2nd ed.) book that I have been using for a few years. I needed more information, or at least information presented to me in a different way, in order to successfully complete the problems at the end of the book chapters.I viewed these lectures four times. I can say that the videos clarified a few concepts that were not as well explained in the book including 1) the different types of variables (local, global, class, and instance), 2) file creation, 3) object creation, 4) how memory works, and 5) parameter passing.Most important, I learned that improving my understanding of Python requires the inclusion and connection of information from a diversity of sources.

I have fully enjoyed the lectures... I have utilized this course as a reference of how effective my Python reading has been... The subjects contained on disk six, have indicated to me where I need additional work in my studies... Well worth the money...

Great course, from a very knowledgeable and expert instructor. Good in-depth, exercises, learning and programming projects. Highly recommended!!!.

This was advertised to come with a course guidebook. It has been two weeks since the discs arrived, still no guidebook.

this book doesn't have link for the scripts, you need to type the examples, it's like an old-school book but it's a good manual for beginners

I still want to learn the subject, but in applying the lesson to my computer I could not get past the first 2 of 24 lessons. I have had this course in my possession for many months and have set it aside, being frustrated with no clue about how to get past it. Other people may well be able, for one reason or another, to do better with it. I am seeking complementary means to get past this blank area.
