Rite in the Rain Weatherproof Mechanical Pencil, Orange Barrel, 1.3mm Black Lead (No. OR13)

Writes really well, but the black lead tends to smear and can be difficult to erase with normal erasers. The eraser on back of pencil seems to work just fine though. The red lead refills don't smear, but they also don't erase. Comfortable to write with for long periods. Super durable and simple design that just works really well. Would be nice if there was a lead pointer available that works with this size lead. Overall, well worth the extra cost over regular lead pencils.Be careful about going through airport security or security at government buildings. When my backpack went through a scanner, I had some of these pencils inside, and they looked like loose ammunition on the scanner. The security guards who pulled me aside were initially rather freaked out, but they thought these pencils were pretty cool after they figured out that they were what set off the scanner

When I reviewed the leads, I said they’d want a review of the erasers.. sure ‘nuff! Yup, good erasers for this pencil.✏️

This pencil is great. The thicker lead allows you to press harder without snapping the lead. It can be used for writing or for marking lines on materials for construction. The only down side is that it only holds one lead, there is no backup internally. It comes in multiple colors and you can buy different lead colors to mark up projects.

Wow! These mech pencils are great.i was expecting a cut above but these things are heavy and tough…these make John Wick’s killing three people with a pencil believable. Just got them in today but I’m looking forward to taking them “down range” to see how well they hold up.

I was actually hoping it could have been a lighter metal or the same super plastic in the rite in the rain pen I have. The only downfall is mixing heavy metal with plastic which creates a potential weak snapping point where the metal and plastic meet. All metal stainless steel Construction would have been nice. I have a zebra all metal pen

erases RITR so smoothly. good bang for your buck.
