Q: My queen is 60 wide and would need at least 18 in drop to be able to tuck it in. Would this work? So the sides shrink?

The flaps on each side of the bed pad are 19". They fit well under my queen mattress which is about 11" high. The pad covers most of the bed. It works very well for me.

Q: how would a 36x52 fit a twin bed with a high mattress?

I have theses on my kids beds that are Full sized beds. They don't tuck in on both sides, but only inches from doing so. So a twin would be a very good fit.

Q: Would this work for a nithe sweater? My husband sweats excessively at night drenching our bed. Does this stay wet?

Yes, it will stay wet; however, I purchased two so if necessary, it can be changed during the night if necessary. They wash up great!
