The Perfect Hybrid Camera for Photo and Video Enthusiasts!
I recently upgraded to the Sony Alpha 7 IV with the 28-70mm zoom lens, and it has completely exceeded my expectations. This camera is an absolute powerhouse, perfectly blending stunning photo quality with exceptional video performance. The 33MP full-frame sensor delivers sharp, detailed, and vibrant images even in low-light situations. Colors are rich and accurate, and the dynamic range is phenomenal. The autofocus system is lightning-fast and incredibly accurate, especially with eye detection for both humans and animals. It’s made shooting portraits and action shots seamless. For video creators, the 4K 60p recording with 10-bit 4:2:2 color depth is a game-changer. The image stabilization ensures smooth, cinematic footage, even when handheld. The footage looks professional straight out of the camera, and the customization options allow you to tweak settings to suit any workflow. The camera feels robust and well-built without being too heavy. The grip is comfortable for extended shoots, and the articulating touchscreen makes composing shots at any angle effortless. The intuitive menu system is much improved and easy to navigate, even for someone transitioning from another brand. The included 28-70mm lens is a solid starter for general photography. While not the fastest lens out there, it’s versatile enough for landscapes, portraits, and everyday shots. I’d recommend pairing the A7 IV with a higher-end lens in the future to unleash the camera’s full potential.

Great upgrade from an APS-C but one flaw
Coming from an A6400, this is a great camera. The Menu system upgrades are much more intuitive. The pictures and video are crisp and the focus capability is top notch. All that being said, where the hell is the flippy screen? This sideways flip screen for creators is a downgrade even from the a6400. I'd pay $500 more for the fully articulating screen like is on the A7RV...

Improved color grading from A7III and A7IV menu is intutive
I upgraded from A7III, A7IV is more improved good color grading. Menu is intutive as well. I like the grip which is smaller in A7III. Happy taking pictures...

Great reasonably price pro camera
My son is working on a digital degree and needed a pro camera. This one works wonderfully! Even is clearer and has as many or more bells and whistles as some of the higher priced heavier equipment they have for the class. Downside is the accessories are very expensive.

Takes amazing video and pictures
I bought this after being a Canon shooter for over 10 years. I needed a camera that could handle low light and Sony is great for low light photography. It was easy to adapt to, the camera takes amazing pictures and videos and I really don't have many complaints. It did overheat a couple of times, but I was shooting video pretty nonstop in 100 degree weather. In regular conditions I have zero problems. I'm sure most of the quirks are pretty common in most cameras. I bought this after the A7V came out, and I love that it was cheaper and probably not drastically difference in quality. Would highly recommended to anyone looking for a camera in this price range. I'm sony for life now!!!

Upgraded from a A7
After a decade or more with my gen 1 A7 I decided to upgrade to the A7IV. If you're coming from a A7II or A7 the upgrade is quite large. The autofocus speed is the biggest thing I noticed immediately. Even older lenses like my 55mm Zeiss is very fast on this camera. The other thing I noticed is how this camera body is about twice as thick as the original A7. If you liked how small the A7 was well... expect the A7IV to be more of the thickness of most other cameras. The thickness from what I understand is the sensor stabilization which by the way the original A7 didn't have. I used to use a monopod with the A7 because no stabilization meant handshake was a very real issue. With the A7IV I can get very sharp images in hand without worry. One other thing. This camera's ISO has some dual sensor business going on. It's both a good and bad thing. It's good because if you shoot at 100ISO or 400ISO your images will look almost identical on noise. The bad is if you shoot at 125, 160, 200, 250 or 320. Someone that doesn't know this may get less sharp images when you need to increase ISO over 100. Do yourself a favor and just shoot at 100 and 400 for most instances then over 400 as usual.I noticed reviewers complaining about the camera menu, but if your coming from another A7 you'll understand the menu quite easily. All other specs were about what I expected. The massive increase in AF points, better video recording, full HDMI slot, dual SD card slots, etc. Also no wall charger for battery... really Sony? Don't be Apple please.

Sony ftw
very good all around camera. It's very versatile with pictures and videos. Lots of different modes within each. Can shoot raw/log. 4k60, 1080p120, plug in play live stream via usb c, creator app for more features. It's made me a lot of money, what more can you ask for?

Good camera for hybrid use
Good camera for hybrid use. Video quality is excellent when paired with good lenses. There are plenty of reviews for this camera already and my unbiased view is that it does what I need - decent quality video recording with a reasonable battery life.
