Dyna-Living 500W AC 24V 5-Blade Wind Turbine Motor with Charge Controller Power Generation Kit

This is a rip off. I was very excited to set up this turbine and once it was up and spinning, even with the 30-35 mph wind speed it made 22V dc at 13W. It is marketed 24V 500W.This is a total waste of money.Threw exclusive testing I found that it would infact make 29.4V before deploying the break but only produced .46 amps at that voltage.I connected this to a 12v battery and still got about 13 watts. Even letting this run on 500000 uf capacitor bank it would not charge above 13 watts.This is garbage, a 12v 100 amp alternator on a pole with an old windmill fan is far out producing this wind turbine.I decided to take this apart to see what, if anything, I could do to make it work better and to see why there where such odd readings at some points.Divide 39 into 12 equal parts. Hmm, well that can't be done.The rotor has 12 permanent magnets and the stator has 39 pegs with 36 oddly spaced could that are not even wound correctly in some cases.Honestly there are far better options and this thing is a 200 dollar piece of garbage that is not properly listed.

Holes were drilled very sloppily and didn't line up . Make assembling it impossible. Seems like a cheeply made product. It might generate power but i don't know as it was not able to be assembled. And i think it was missing a few part. But it had extra parts of other peice so not sure what happened when it wass package at the factory.

I finally went to assemble this product and unpacked it. Missing was the Allen wrench to hold the center shaft which was not a big deal.However, as I attempted to mount the first blade on the flange, the bolt would not go through the hole. As you can see in the pics, almost all the holes are either not drilled or have considerable burrs which prevent the bolts to pass through and attach the blades. Such poor workmanship and quality control has made this product TOTALLY UNUSEABLE!!! Since I bought it over a year ago I'm stuck with it.... My bad!

So first off, the kit did not come with everything pictured. Specifically, the second half of the mounting flange ( there is one in the pictures). Second, the instructions are vague and state a wrench is included for assembly, no wrench. From there, be aware that the description says low wind start up speed of 2 m/s. Well that's 10mph and as I watch the trees swaying in the breeze, the blades on my wind turbine are perfectly still. I think my battery will go dead from the LED light on the controller before this thing ever starts charging. Looks pretty good though.
