Performs smoothly
Fits common cassette freehub. 12-46 is a decently capable range to be 1x with. It's matching shifter and clutched derailer belong amongst the names of sram and shimano.Lots of metal so it's heavier, but surprisingly functions very well. Excellent value for performance if you're not counting grams or trying to build lightweight.I have owned xt, x9, xo, deore. This is in that performance range in the almost extinct 8 spd setup. Advent dared to go simpler in a world of proprietary freehubs, skinny chains, and tight tolerances and hit a home run in my opinion. Good job going against the grain Advent

Great, but Acolyte med cage system is not for kids
Acolyte is advertised/marketed for kids, but the medium cage derailluer is more for teen/adults. The spring resistance was far too great for my 10 yr old to shift and we tried both Acolyte trigger shifters. He had to let go of the grip and use the butt of his hand to push the lever enough to get in the lower gears. He has no problem shifting my Shimano Deore 9 spd long cage derailluer with Acera trigger shifter and I confirmed the Acolyte shifted harder than the Shimano. There were no kinks or obstructions in the cable and it was installed exactly as shown by Microshift.HOWEVER, I was actually able to keep the 12-46 Acolyte cassette and got it to work great with his existing Tourney derialluer and 8 spd RevoShift. So for kids wide range cassette, go with this, but match it with 8 spd Shimano derailluer and shifter or similar.

Replaced my 12 speed shimano cassette, it is tight doesn't wobble. Satisfied, would buy again.

Great for Park, Downhill bikes
Im running this paired with the Acolyte derailleur with clutch and it has been the perfect combo for running park laps or downhill trails with enough gearing to still pedal back to the top! Very durable and shifts extremely smooth when tunned properly.

Exellant Climbering range with strong sprocket and 8 speed chain
The large 46 tooth sprocket and the thicker 3/32 8 speed chain made my vintage late 1980s chromoly Specialized Rockhopper capable of climbing steep hills with load in the rear rack while still being able to speed up on flat ground. In combination with its Acolyte groupset the shifting was fast and stable .

Best groupset value
The Advent Acolyte group set (the cassette, derailleur, and the shifter) is the absolute best value for an affordably priced quality group set.

For the 12-46t Version - More teeth for better torque for affordable 8 speed chains
The tooth ratio this cassette gives my 1x setup is much more torque and speed the weight may be heavier than the Advent X variant but the ratio is a decent tradeoff in overall bike mass though it does cause my rear to be heavier but the addition to my 34 tooth chain ring it makes the original 1x7 much slower than what I have now 1x8.

Easy to install and works well
I love the Acolyte groupset! Great shifting, easy to dial in, no skipping. What more can you ask for? Went onto the hub easily and the groupset works great.
