Excellent Compression
Size: SmallI felt immediate relief after putting them on. I need it for both thumbs as I deliver packages for a living. My thumbs were aching so badly. These are comfortable without being too tight. Doesn't restrict movement at all. I just hope they wash nicely. Great purchase! Btw, the bands have no odor whatsoever, as I read in a review. LolI thought I'd write again after continously wearing 3 days in a row. Still has good compression. Washed with liquid hand soap twice & it cleans very nicely. I just ordered 2 more for backup. I do wish it came in black or gray. No biggie though. This band will not "support" your thumb. I think people are misunderstanding it's purpose. It's like an Ace Bandage for your thumbs. It will give compression & relief to your achy, sore thumbs.

Absolutely wasted of money.
I got it in small. It’s loose and flimsy. No support nor compression at all, cannot be adjust.

Superb - in conjunction with the thumb brace.
I bought the Velpeau thumb brace and one of these underlying supports came with that brace. On it's own this does provide some level of support but not a whole lot. The brace WITHOUT this is ok but WITH this is lots more comfortable and provides a huge level of support and comfort for my arthritic thumb base. I ordered some extra packs of these elastic supports since the main brace will likely never wear out, it is very sturdy but these elastic bits will wear out eventually just from wear and tear. The combination of the brace with these underlying supports is stellar both in actual support plus comfort.

It’s ok but not necessary
I bought the thumb brace that this liner is made for and I bought a back up. I do a lot of DIY projects around the house and have over used my thumb which is why I have thumb pain in the first place. I began using the liner and after it got pretty sweaty, I just had washed it and let it dry overnight. I would forget about the liner and use it without it. At first it kind of felt weird but I got used to it pretty quickly. These liners are not cheap and they give no thumb support. The are simply liners. I do not recommend these liners. Yes, my thumb support gets sweaty and smelly at the end of a hit work day. But, I just simply hand wash it and let it dry overnight. I’ve been using the thumb brace for a couple of months now and I don’t even use the liner that I started with and the back up is still in the box. The thumb brace is wonderful and has really helped me a lot, but I could have skipped buying the liners.

Perfect liner for my Push thumb brace!
This worked exactly as I had hoped it would. I've been wearing a Push brand thumb brace for a while now, but I disliked how the straps felt on the back of my hand, and didn't like how my palm would get sweaty under the plastic of the underside of the brace. This thin sleeve works perfectly to solve both issues. No more sweaty palm, and I don't feel the straps at all. It is very thin and lightweight. It does little to nothing on its own as far as support goes. I would compare it to wearing an ace bandage when you need a cast instead, if you know what I mean. It kind of feels good, but not enough support. But coupled with the Push brace it's perfect. I love that it's hand washable and comes as a pair so I always have a spare. Great find!

Sizing
Material is great. The sizing is off for compression. To explain, a large brace or large gloves fits my hand. The section going around my wrist is a 1/4 inch to large. I modified to fit.

Brilliant!
I have worked in the medical profession for more than 4 decades and for almost 3 decades it was in the compression garment and brace industry as a certified fitter. I have arthritis in my scaphoid bone which is a very small bone that connects the thumb lower joint to the wrist. When I move my thumb towards the wrist it’s very painful. I went to a hand specialist that pretty much just wanted to put me under the knife, but gave me this big bulky brace that I couldn’t do anything else. This product you barely know you are wearing it and it only slightly restricts the motion that creates pain and you can get it wet and it dries and you barely even know you were wearing it and the restriction is only to the point where the pain is but doesn’t restrict motion otherwise. I think the negative review people were those who did not have dynamic pain but had stagnant pain. This device is not going to take away pain that is always present but it will help to pretty much eliminate, in my case, the pain when my thumb over extends, which in time eliminating the overall pain from overuse. I will purchase several of these! The people who said that this was paper-thin and useless, were not comprehending the intended use for the product. It is meant to be something you can wear that is not noticeable and it is very thin, but provide support for this particular lower joint in the thumb.

The 3 bears scenario
I have slender hands so I decided to get a small and a medium hoping one would be just right. Well, the small fit nicely across the bottom but was too tight around the thumb - like stop the circulation tight. The medium fit comfortably around the thumb but was so loose at the bottom it just hung there - absolutely no compression. So both are basically useless. Next one I buy will have an adjustable strap so it can be fitted just right.
