Great set once completed
Tried multiple tools to get the tyres in the rims. Skip the step where you wreck your hands: a quick dunk in very hot water and bingo. They were on with relative ease. Hope this helps.

It looked good.
I bought this as a gift so can't really comment on its workings etc.

Neat lighted bricks, but rather expensive for the size of the set
Number of bricks: 185Price per brick: 17.2pAlthough this set builds up to a nice enough car, it seems really expensive for what it is. At time of writing, this is priced at £31.78 (it went up almost £7 since I requested it to review), making the price per brick a little over 17p. There are 5 special illuminated bricks, complete with preinstalled cell batteries – but even so, this seems pricey. The brick system this set is made from is very similar in design to Lego, and I would expect a similar-sized Lego set to be around £15.The build comes separated into 4 unlabelled bags. The instruction booklet is well-presented, using a similar style of presentation to Lego. The design of the stud connectors is similar to, but not quite the same as Lego. For me, these bricks seem to clip together a bit more firmly than Lego. I wasn’t so keen on this: I have really weak fingernails and these were extremely hard to take apart. The illuminated bricks have screws on them, allowing the cell batteries to be accessed and replaced when they run out of power. The special laser pegs illuminated bricks have moulded copyright information and other details on them. This seems quite intrusive, but the lighted bricks are integrated well into the build, so this isn’t really obvious in the completed build. The upper part of the car is largely made from transparent bricks, which allow the illumination from the lighted bricks to sow through. Car tyres are a basic, hard plastic.

Consider it a Test of Resilience
Italian brand but not Italy made. Total of 185 bricks, only 5 of which are illuminating. This I found disappointing, I expected a greater number of light-up bricks, especially as this is the USP for this set over Lego.Suitable age is 8 plus. Manual is easy enough to decipher, set doesn't look quite as refined as a premium construction set, considering the price of this one.Our son, usually a big fan of Lego found this set stiff to construct. The pieces fit together too closely leaving no margin for error. God forbid, you misalign a brick, prying them apart requires talons like a raptor...or a super human. They say you can build 4 models with this single set. Sure, knock yourself out if you have adamantium-laced knuckle claws of the likes of only Wolverine.3 Stars

Good car set
Package arrived nicely, all pieces and style seem quite similar to LEGO, good quality and sturdy. The instructions are simple enough to follow , but good challenge for children, encouraging childrens hand-eye coordination and problem-solving skills. However I found some of the pieces were a bit difficult to fit in which is not ideal, therefore I had to knock one star off.Once complete, it looks quite alright, sturdy enough, and it can light up which is a plus, makes the whole set looking awesome. It seems to be able to encourage children to develop scientific engineering logic, overall a good toy. 4 stars given.

Lights up
My son loves his 'light up Lego' as he calls it.Compatible with branded Lego he can create to his hearts content. There are numerous different designs to make too.Only downside is comes with just 1 set of instructions. You need to go online and download the rest.

Who loved it more - my son or my husband?
This is a brand new toy for our family - and glad we found it. Our boys are very into Lego and this really was the cherry on top. Didn’t know that they could light up their builds for this added level of fun!Who loved it more - my son or my husband? Can’t say! They both were so excited to spend the afternoon building. There are four different models in this set and although they were sad to take each build apart, they really enjoyed getting started on a new one. Loved them all, but the dragster was definitely the winner in our house. BTW - these are even better in the dark!My son loves the car and won't share them with his younger sister.Instructions were clear and assembly were simple, but gave him enough of a challengeHis favourite color is red! And this is now his favourite building set! Plus, it lights up. Doesn't get better than this. BOOM!
