Q: I'm in need of 4x6 mats for proofs & i really want light grey w/ backing. i only see lt grey in your multi color pack. can i order just that color?

Hi,When you order directly on our website you can choose whatever color including choosing just one color. The thing with ordering this via Amazon, is that Amazon ships out some of our item. And with that, you're not able to choose your colorThanks,Leslie

This item comes with the 100 pre-cut mats, 100 backing boards and 100 clear bags.

Q: are these like picture frames were you can put pictures in them?

They are mat board (like cardboard) to use with a 4 x 6 picture when putting it into a 5 x 7 frame. You would tape your picture to back of the mat to hold it in place. And you would need to have a separate 5 x 7 frame.
