This is exactly what I needed. After torturing myself for months, maybe years carefully rigging the power cord to charge my PC, I finally got this when I no longer could make it work. Now it charges like a new PC! Do yourself a favor, get it now. The process to replace is easier then you imagine. Most of the time is the careful process of unscrewing the tiny screws and separating the bottom plate, after that easily as eating cake. (don't do that when working on this, save it as a celebration of your great work) good luck!

I have a Dell Inspiron 3500. This was easy to install and fixed my issue, works perfectly. I only had to remove the bottom case panel and move a small steel brace out of the way. My port was worn out to the point I had to position the cord just so in order to get it to charge. I installed this, pu the panel back on and plugged it in. The little charging light came on immediately without any fussing with the cord position. Very good and half the price of buying direct from Dell. Glad I finally got this done as I had been putting it off for about 6 months.

Quality seems as good as OEM and fit was as expected. Quick installation in a Dell Inspiron 3593 and no issues with operation following install.

In all of Dell's wisdom, why do they put a power jack on the side if a laptop? The cord is always bent, putting stress on the jack until it no longer charges. Changing the jack is challenging if you are uncomfortable workung with small parts but with some experiece it can be done in less than a half hour. Notes: The Dell video shows removing the main board. That's not necessary. The cable can be easily worked under the board, following the route of the original cable. Screws back in, unit charges! Get a right angle adapter that turns the cord to the back to avoid replacing the jack again!
