FULL OF HEART, AUTHENTIC
I held back and hesitated for months, given my lack of engagement with her last album, 25. But finally, when the price was right (sorry Adele, but I need it more than you do right now) I went ahead. After a few plays - I love this album! Some real maturity going on, in my opinion; some plush and tasteful arrangements, putting me in mind of some unexpected characters, like Bette Midler (but with a better voice), Frank Sinatra (but with stronger material), and Marvyn Gaye (I would love an imaginary duet after hearing My Little Love). Time and again Adele emulates the blistering vocal runs of the Queen, Aretha Franklin, (for example - her criminally-overlooked and stunning song: "This Is For Real", from 1982's Jump To It album). As far as credits are concerned, all vocals seem to be by Adele, which is remarkable. The backing vocals are entertaining enough; even the 'Pinky & Perky' effects work a treat. But Adele's final four tracks will determine whether you come to love this album or not, particularly the powerhouse vocal on To Be Loved, followed by the Disneyesque arrangements on the finale Love Is A Game. It's a sequence and finale that should be untarnished by "bonus tracks".It's amazing, the number of 1-star 'write-off' reviews here....I do not understand. Did the hype get to you? Adele is unfolding as a fine artist, surely a great artist, with longevity, and oodles of musical class. She is baring her heart, and it sounds authentic to me.

A beautiful voice - a difficult listen..........
Instantly recognisable, Adele pens songs that are poingant and honest - perhaps too honest at times. If the lyrics are anythign to go by, she is struggling with the conflict between 'celebrity' and 'self' and parenthood and her lifestyle. There's a lot of 'Americanisation' compared to her previous albums I think, spoken lyrics and 'lounge piano' and, while it's difficult to imagine that there's any more production in the sound - it DOES sound as if the orchestration and production outweight the personal lyrics at times. There are some stand out tracks and some beautiful words, sheer poetry - but it's hard to listen to someone pouring their heart out about 'self-destruction' whilst in the middle of the process. A beautiful voice, but a difficult listen.

Very good
I’ve brought some vinyls of Amazon and some of them weren’t good quality and skipped during songs. However I would highly recommend this record and enjoy listening to it. Very good quality.

Anodyne
Sorry. Didn't appeal to me, unlike her earlier work. And the whining - please!
