I can't say much, I'm not a car mechanic! My son was working on his wife's Kia and needed this one little part and couldn't find it anywhere locally, but guess what...here it was on Amazon. I ordered it for him, and viola! The Kia is up and running! Thank you, VTooLand!

This product successfully mated my code reader to the OBDII connector on my 2010 Hyundai Elantra; however, I keep getting "Link Failure" indication. Evidently, thiis doesn't have the required connections from the "Kia" female connector to the standard OBDII male connector. So while it does adapt my code reader to the car's connector, I can't read any codes, which makes this kind of useless.

I always read the reviews before buying on Amazon and the reviews says it works on Kia cars. I have a 2014 Kia Soul and it didn’t work at all. I don’t know why a lot of people claimed it work on their Kia. Definitely going to return.

Just what I need to scan my Kia. It's a hard to find item in stores, so this one y something that I need. I don't understand Why KIA doesn't use the standard OBD2 connector.
