ACE Mini-Blind Cleaner (BRUSH)

I'm not impressed. Still, I admit part of it is surely my fault. I do not regularly clean my mini-blinds. Hence they have accumulated a lot of dust that this product probably is not designed to handle. If I had done an exhaustive cleaning of my blinds prior to my purchase, and then used this for semi-regular maintenance then this may have worked alright. I also got annoyed trying to get all of the slats in the blinds to insert properly into this device. It's not all that difficult, but the fact that you have to do it over and over again to clean the entire thing gets really old in a hurry. This did not end up being the useful solution that I was hoping for.

When my husband and I moved into our 1924 Colonial Revival, one of our first purchases was custom-made 2" aluminum blinds for our 32 tall windows. Several visitors to our home have asked, "where did you get those old-fashioned blinds!" Seems the world is awash in mini-blinds these days.A few months later, we had central air installed in the house. All of our once-clean and fairly-new 2" blinds were now covered in super-fine construction dust and they looked like old-fashioned (and filthy) blinds.I ordered this "Cleaner Brush" from Amazon and was delighted and surprised to see that it works on 2" blinds and that it does a fine and quick job. I'm not sure how you clean it, once it becomes saturated with dust and grit, but I'm guessing a visit with Mr. Vacuum will make it all better.I prefer this to the traditional blind-cleaning-vacuum-attachment tool, because they're really designed for the smaller 1" mini-blinds.

The fingers are very tight and do not open. You have to hold onto the blind and intentionally squeeze each slat between the fingers. It is very tedious. It is just about as hard to get it off as it is to get it on. This task about 240 times on all the sections of ONE blind is ridiculous. I wish I had gotten one that opens up. I thought this would be faster because it holds 6 slats - big mistake! Shipping and delivery were speedy and accurate, however.

Requires a bit of hassle setting up the blinds to be able to use this product. My blinds just don't line up with this tool. It's made well, but is awkward to use. It does work, just not a quick and simple as anticipated.

The cleaner is for our mountain home and I have not yet tried it. It is in the home but they are still remodeling so I have not used it yet, I was surprised it was so much smaller than I remember from the 50's.

watch the utube of the english lady using this product, she is very gentle with it so it does not break, I figured out a way to use a window washing scrubber attachment (don aslett clean report) to go on the squeegee thingy and wash the blinds while on the window, then rinse off the cloth on the window washing device to rinse them, dry them off- doesn't drip and I can wash the blinds while still on the window, then wash the window, when blinds are dry- run over each slat with a dryer sheet to repel dust, works good. No more removing mini blinds to soak them in the tub or hose them off on the porch for me!

Its a good product but its a complete Pain in the ass to use ... I find it easier to whip the blinds with it instead of placing the blinds in between each ..

Waste of money, dusters are to close together, chucked in the garbage after 5 minutes :/.
