Read it! I dare you!
Great book, very intense. The characters are well written and the story moves along nicely. Gonna read the rest to see what happens next!

it’s no lords
Compared to her lords series this is tameI’m pretty sure the age range of the characters is what made it tamerThe plot built well and it wasn’t predictable which was a plusI do feel there was still some unanswered questionsThis was more of a 3 star for me cause it took me longer than normal to get through but the ending pushed me into the 4 star range because it was really good

Enemies to Lovers Dark Revenge Romance
This fast-paced, plot-heavy, very twisted love story is a wild ride. The Sharks are a group of high school friends with a dark history of games and dares and a future that looks pretty morally black as well. So what happens when their games take a turn and they begin to unknowingly become the players in someone else's game?Enter Austin, our FMC. Strong, resilient, and most of all, a survivor of pretty harsh life circumstances. When she witnesses a crime, she is also thrust into the game. Who wins? Who loses? Who survives? At what cost? And who falls in love?I love reading a favorite author's earlier work and seeing their writing style develop. Shantel Tessier is a master at world-building, intricate plots, powerful flashbacks, and poignant moments of intimacy.

intense
This is one of those books you hate to love. Every twist and turn sucked me in and kept me guessing. Great read.

To Adult
I really would not really recommend this book for anyone under 18yrs of age. This book is High School bully romance, but I would not want any high schooler boy/girl to read. This book is toxic, way too much detailed sex and just all around not good for any young mind to think this was ok. I would hope that parents are watching what their kids are reading, but you do have some kids that can get a hold of these and read them and think oh I want that in my life, or God forbid they are already in a relationship like Cole's and Austin's. I did like the loyalty of friendship, and the ending was good. I just feel that Authors really need to stop and think what they are writing could harm an innocence child's mind, not purposely but think before you send these kinds of books out into the world. The mental health of young is ramped these days and this book and others like them can bring someone into a spiral. Remember young minds are still developing and takes things seriously when we know as adults aren't that serious or it will pass. Cole is controlling, possessive, and falls hard for a girl who just moved to town. Austin knows it's not right but yet she falls anyway. I like Cole as he changed at the end to know kindness instead of meanness.Recommend to adults 18 yrs and up. Family, friends, death, sex swearing, and hardships...I feel I just wrote this same review as the last one Even if it Hurts. I'm finding all these books are starting to look, act and talk the same. If this is supposed to make people swoon over the bad boy villain, it's kind of wrong in my opinion. Gina

Shantel is always a good choice
I generally always enjoy Shantel’s work, it’s always written perfectly to my standards, always has a lil mystery going on, and the spice is usually on point. This book, however, I give 3.5 stars. The reason being is due to a few categories:Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️ a lot of the scenes would start, and then move on to the story. Which is fine, every once in a while, what’s a girl gotta do for some full length scenes?!? (At least more than what was in this book)Story line: 📕📕📕 the story line was your run of the mill “I’m the devil because I’m a heartless brooding guy and I’m going to destroy her” trope, but I did enjoy that the FMC was throwing the MMCs BS right back at him. I like my FMCs with some moxie.Characters: 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ again, the trope, but also there wasn’t much character building, which makes sense considering it’s a high school story. My biggest, albeit picky, qualm was the REPETITION. Oh. My. God. Every character “fisted” their hands about 100 times to display anger in this book and it got to the point where it drove me nuts and made me maniacally laugh to myself every time. Some would say, it made me fist my hands…In the end, it was good for what it was, I just found myself kind of wanting it to be over around the 70% through mark, but I am loyal to Shantel and wanted to finish. The ending was worth the surprise, so she gained half a brownie point for that.I dare you to read this book and count how many times “fisting of hands” is mentioned. 😏
