Although this book's title says it is about interesting stories for curious kids, it is also interesting stories for curious adults. Adults as well as kids can learn some interesting facts that they may have not known before reading this book. I recommend this book for both kids and adults. Some of the interesting facts that are mentioned by the author of this book include the following facts: French toast is known by different names throughout the world. In the Spanish-speaking world, it is called torrija while in Hong Kong, it is called Western toast. In Great Britain, French toast is called eggy bread. In France, French toast is known as pain perdu which translates into English as lost bread. The Vikings are responsible for making skiing popular. As with skating, skiing was invented in Scandinavia long before the Vikings used skiing. The word ski is an ancient word from Norse (the language of the Vikings) that means split wood.

My grandson is 10, and loves reading this. He asked about "Bazooka Joe gum" and I chuckled at the question.. which is a story within the book. He keeps reading it over and over er... good purchase!!

This is a SERIOUSLY INTERESTING book, filled with information that kept me wondering what new fact I would learn next. From a dog who learned that it might be a good idea NOT to mess with a Cat's favorite person to learning how to grow a worm, I enjoyed reading. There were some truly thought-provoking facts and I enjoyed every minute of reading. Thank you to the author! I also look forward to Bill O'Neill's next book with great anticipation. Christmas gift for one of the grands. He liked it.

Although this book is written with teenagers in mind, I do have fun reading it. The book covers a great range of topics in no specific order. You read, you learn, you enjoy. Some of the topics include: a hero cat named Tara who saves a boy (everybody saw the video!!), child soldiers, Walt Disney, Robert the haunted sailor doll, and some other haunted stories which are my favorite. Do you know raccoons are smarter than cats and dogs? I did not know that until now. This book is written for kids but can be enjoyed by grownups too. Bill's books never disappoint.

Great book to purchase

Always enjoy a Bill O'Neill trivia book, INTERESTING STORIES FOR CURIOUS KIDS has been no exception. Chronologically I'm no kid, but this book met my always curious inner child and that made for quite a mental journey. Regardless of your chronological age, tweak your inner child with this book, you won't regret it.

I gave this to my grandson for Christmas and he was telling me some very interesting things he learned from it. This is a child that doesn't read a lot.

This book claims to have facts and refers to science, but contains "true" storys of ghost. And it claims that ghosts are real because science can't explain everything. I dumped it after a few pagesü

Book exactly as described

I love this book. I gave it a five-star rating because I learned about the things I didn't know. It also helps that he used humour to make it more interesting. I was disappointed when I finished the book, I wanted to read more stories.
