Love it
So, I've had this amp for about 7 months now. Initially I had some reservations about the noise that the amp produces, but got over that fairly quickly. 7 months later, I absolutely love the amp. It produces some of the best tones that I have EVER heard from any amp. You can crank this thing up, and the response will stay tight and precise. I have always favored American clean tone to British (Vox, Orange etc..) and was looking for a classic tone for my fender guitars. If your preference is the same, I would def consider this amp.As far as functionality, I haven't had any issues with the parts, but once you go above 5 on the reverb the amp will buzz. Fortunately though, I don't care much for think reverb in my tracks.

Here’s Your SS22 Upgrade/Mod
Bought my tan/oxblood SS22 several years ago and have always been happy with it. One thing I tend to do with tube amps soon after I get them is upgrade the tubes but also upgrade the output transformers. I use Mercury Magnetics. Biggest selection and best iron IMO. It always improves the sound, to varying degrees. I did that for my SS22 and it paid off BIG! One of the best results I’ve had. Punchier, tighter, clearer, like putting better pickups in your guitar. It was awhile ago, but I think it only cost @$150 plus the install ($40). But in SS22’s, upgrading the output transformer works wonders. Chow.

Good volume for playing at home or small gigs
May not be for Fender amp purest, but this amp can do it all! Classic and Stacked clean channel, extremely versatile 2 stage "burn" channel. Good volume for playing at home or small gigs. Had mine for several weeks and love it! Originally had a Hot Rod Deluxe3 but was too loud and over drive channel was not to my liking. I prefer playing with a minimum of effects and the versatility of this amp works for me.
