My Very First Tea Party

I bought this book as a fun, imaginative addition to our reading rotation. It’s playful, visually appealing, and easy to engage with during shared reading. The pacing is excellent, and the illustrations invite interaction. The book encourages pretend play and social themes in a light, accessible way. It’s held up well to repeated use and remains enjoyable over time. A solid choice for early readers.

The cutest book for a baby shower.

I am a special education teacher and having to leave school early in the year has been very hard on me and my students. I have three girls in my class and they loved to play tea party for recess when we were in school. I actually purchased 3 of these books along with a tea party outfits including fancy hats, long white gloves, and a tea set. I delivered them personally to their homes and each one of my girls were so excited. I even stayed for two tea parties and they all loved the story and all looked so adorable in their hats and gloves!!! I looked for different stories about tea parties and I was so happy to find this one. It is such a perfect story and the rhyming makes it engaging and fun. When I read it to them I used their name in the story and they were so happy!. Hopefully we will be back to school soon so I can read the book to the whole class and they can play tea party together!

I purchased this book to go with a tea set that I gave my granddaughter on her first birthday. It was such a perfect gift. I love that it is the hard cardboard. At her age there’s not too much she can do to destroy it. The story is so cute.

I bought this book to go along with a tea set I will be giving as a gift to a friend's little girl. The book is very well written in simple verse and rhyme with delightful illustrations. I love how it emphasizes using good manners, including sending a "thank you" note to Miss Honey B, the giver of the tea party. One of the reviews I read stated that the purchaser did not like the fact that there was a prayer asking God to bless the tea party and friends. The reviewer didn't like that, but I certainly did and that's what made me purchase the book! Very appreciative of the author and publisher (and Amazon) who continue to provide GOOD wholesome books for our children. Thank you all!

Cute, strong pages, wholesome, pretty, short and sweet to read with toddler. I have a little wooden tea set also for my 2 year old granddaughter and I to play with.

This book is the perfect size for small hands. The pages are a bright, cheerful water color design with a nice little rhythmic story of a polite afternoon with friends. I especially appreciated the “thankful prayer” and thank you note at the end. A great message! This will compliment the little tea set I purchased for my granddaughter nicely❤️

This is such an adorable little book. I got the board format, and since it's such a basic story I'd reccomend others doing the same. This book is so sweet and feminine. I don't know why people are bent out of shape at the prayer. It's a few lines, literally. People actively trying to keep their children away from God, heartbreaking... I'd definitely reccomend this book! It's wholesome and sweet!

SIZE: It is only 13-14 cm so a small book. Larger would have been better. BOARD BOOK: Sturdy so good. PAGES: 10 or 5 double. So a short story. ILLUSTRATIONS: blurry watercolour. Not crisp. Not the best. STORY: Explains the etiquette of being invited to a tea party, and then sending a "thank-you" note afterwards. Good from the point of view of teaching etiquette and encouraging good manners. Average book. Not worth $22 in my honest opinion. Better alternatives.

Lovely little book for a little girls first tea party. I thought it was excellent and loved that it mentioned God.
