Setup is easy but the receiver is not sensitive enough. I could not get further than 6 feet away. My couch is 10 feet away.I am returning.

Installed this in a camper to control the satellite receiver and DVD player that are stored in a cabinet and connected to a TV that swivels 180 degrees to face the bed or kitchen area. It worked once. There is a red light that is on all the time it has power. I pushed a command on the satellite remote, and the receiver reacted accordingly. Pushed a second button and the little LED went out and the receiver did nothing. No other commands would work. Was using a USB power supply with plenty of output to handle the advertised power consumption. Still quit working. The adhesive is weak and easily removed, almost too easy. Had this thing continued to work, I don't think the glue would have survived sitting in a hot camper during the week when its not being used. Do not recommend. There is another kit available that is more expensive, but is way more reliable.

Worked fine for a few months then just stopped working. Very frustrating. I will try a different brand.

I couldn't get this repeater to work. No matter how hard I tried, it wouldn't work. (I even looked for a protective covering on the receiver and there wasn't one) I am going to return

I keep my blu ray player and sound receiver in a black wooden cabinet with no windows. No light gets in there when the doors are closed, infrared or otherwise. This device lets me keep the doors closed and still control my blu ray, and sound.Luckily my blu ray has a usb port, and I used that for the usb power that this thing needs. If you don't have a nearby usb port in any of your devices, you may need to buy one that plugs into the wall.

I wanted it powered all the time, so I used a wall plug with female USB that came with a cell phone. It works great!! IR emitters are sufficiently powerful to use as blasters.
