Great value! Easy setup
I was looking for a permanent solution to Christmas lights, and I think I found it. These lights are water resistant. Even though I am in Arizona, we see little rain, these should hold up well. The 3m sticky back is great for holding the lights in place, but I would recommend a coax staple of some type to reinforce them. Again living in Arizona, I can see this adhesive wearing out and getting soft in the summer. I mounted to strip to see how I wanted them for Christmas lights, one strip behind the facia board and one in front. I will be mounting them in front under the lip of the roof. I would like to add more behind the facia board though because they allow for a more subtle illumination that would be great for other times of the year. I left these on for quite a while and the temp of the power supply was warm, so I would consider putting a timer switch if some type, or remember to unplug or turn off during the day. I wouldn’t leave them on constantly unless I had a better power supply. I would say the one downside would be the power supply, because of this you can only have 2-16ft strands running off of one power supply. I would not try to connect more than the two strips to one PS. If you are using these for Christmas or other, where you will be using lots of strands, you may have to run extension cords and such to make it to all power supples. Their is a picture on here already of the type of staple you can use to secure the light strips and power cords to the back of the facia. All in all I am pretty satisfied with this product and will be buying more in the future to spruce up my backyard lighting, and add some other lighting effects around the house. :::UPDATE: The lights are looking great, and the temperature of the power supply is not an issue. If I am going to leave them on extended periods of time I just turn the brightness down. Checked on my power supplies and they were cool to the touch. I would also say, lay out and plan ahead on where you need to hook up power and how the corner bends will work, to make sure the polarity lines up if you are using L connectors. I have probably a 6-8ft strip that I had to cut off and take down and redo. The good news is though, I can always use the extra strip somewhere less as long as I have a solderless connector. So really there is minimal wasted product. I just have a lot leftover, but I will use it up

Great lights
Great lights for sons bedroom. Power adapter cord is very short so look at getting extension adapter. Lights are great and easy to install. You can either connect two goin in opposite directions or connect two in series with separate connector you must buy separately for 10mm lights. Plus attaching connectors takes a bit of work to remove waterproof rubber to expose copper to allow connection.

Which ways install and looks great with many functions
So far so good. Installed the light today with ease. The stickiness of the strip was perfect. Clean the area first to insure adhesion. There’s many colors to choose from. There’s a fade option and flashing as well if you want the Christmas effect. The IR function with the remote works well. For the price you can’t go wrong. I installed these at the top of our 5th wheel just below the awning. You can’t adjust the brightness of every color.

Precisely as advertised, but be aware!
These LED lights are exactly as described in the listing, but there are many things to be aware of! All the parts are relatively fragile and not replaceable - meaning that if one of the I.R. controllers dies, you're going to need to buy another kit to get a new one. Of course this isn't really a big deal, as the kit's are not super-expensive and the other parts can be used as spares. I found that the I.R. controllers are the most fragile of all parts. Sometimes one will work with one string and not another. Sometimes one will appear to completely die, yet it will work with another LED string... and then when you put it back on the original string, it works! It's all kind of a mystery, but once you get it working well, it seems to be okay. As an example, I turned on my first installation of 4 LED strings the week before Thanksgiving (November) and I have not turned them off one time since then. They have now been on constantly for over a month with no problems. You also need to be aware that although the LED strips ARE waterproof, the connections are not, the controllers are not and certainly the a/c adapter is not waterproof! I have many strings running outside the house, and I have wrapped all those components in plastic bags to keep the moisture out of them. When you connect multiple strings in series, the plugs are very small and delicate. I did my best to tape them with electrical tape to keep rain out of them as best I could and they're still working fine. The adhesive may or may not work for your application. You have to be SURE to separate the adhesive backing from the actual adhesive, or you'll accidentally pull the adhesive strip (which is an incredibly THIN and CLEAR membrane) off the LED strip. One of my applications is holding ok - it is stuck to the underside of a metal gutter. I first cleaned it with alcohol and dried it well before sticking the LED strip on. It has held ok. Another one did not stick well. I suspect a tiny bit of condensation was the problem. I ended up fastening all my lights VERY carefully with a staple gun. If you're careful, a standard staple (like a T-50) is precisely the same width as the LED strip and you can staple the lights to wood or composite. I did this and didn't use the adhesive strip at all. I was very careful to make sure the staples straddled the LED strip and didn't puncture it, and I made sure the staples were NOT over the top of an LED where you could damage it. I put my staples at the points in the strip that were noted as places you can cut the strip with scissors. No problems and they look fine. Last comment: the manufacturer is VERY responsive via the Amazon email system for contacting the seller. They were right on top of any question I had, and happy to help. In my case, they went beyond the requirements and made sure I'm a satisfied customer.... and they did NOT ask me to write this review! The best part of these lights is the price - they're not too expensive, so you can experiment with them and not worry too much. I plan on leaving the LEDs up year-round, as you can't really see them when they're off. I'll just bring the controllers and a/c adapters in until the next holiday season. They should endure the weather just fine.

Nice lights that will last you YEARS!
So I first bought these in December of 2020, and despite them being used only on/around holidays and outside 24/7 for almost 4 years I never had a problem with them....until Dec 2024! Unfortunately something on one of the strips of lights failed and it wouldn't light up (BTW the other strip is still going strong) Anyway I bought these again to replace the faulty strip with the new one and plugged into the old receiver from 2020 and the new strip lit right up! So now while my lights look a little wierd in the day time with one new and one crusty old one. But I can't really complain considering they cost barely $20 and it was FOUR YEARS before I had any issues! (plus now I've got a spare strip/receiver/remote in case I have any problems with those down the line too). So would definitely recommend these if you're looking for some outdoor holiday/accent lighting.

NOT WORTH IT! Should just gotten the original one.
I have seen cheap $10 LEDs that are better than these. I instantly hated them after 20 minutes of putting the first strip up. Please read, THEY ARE NOT WORTH IT! 1. The remote is the 24k small remote. When I originally found these, and purchased them, the remote advertised in the picture was the LARGE 44k remote that lets you DIY colors and brightness. Now the advertisement is different? A little sus but can be my own fault. Fine. But even the OLD Daybetter model and every other Daybetter LED strip product has the large 44k remote. Why is the new/updated recommended model the inferior cheap one now? Even old reviews show the old remote, meaning at one point it was changed. Why? 2. The “special” updated features? Are so underwhelming, and that’s if they even work at all. News flash they usually don’t. I’ve seen cheap brand LEDs with more and better function than these. Only thing I couldn’t try was an amazon home link because I don’t have one. - Music mode. I’m an iPhone user so it automatically asks me if I want to connect to my iTunes library. The other option is to download any MP3’s on your pc to the app and there is a tiny storage limit. iTunes is the recommended way. But you literally cannot use iTunes, because it won’t let you play copyrighted music...everything on iTunes is copyrighted. I couldn’t play a SINGLE song. Meaning it is useless unless you have cd’s or want to pirate music. So it prevents you from “pirating music” by...basically...making you...pirate...music? Because that makes plenty of sense. Offer iTunes but not allow iTunes....genius. On top of that? The music mode (as well as mic mode) is so horrible. The reaction to music (and sound in mic mode) is slow, and seemingly random. The color set up is horrible and must be done in App, and app regularly crashes. To describe the music mode blinking: Think of a person trying to play an instrument they have never played and don’t know how to play to a song they have never heard before and don’t know, and they have hearing problems and zero rhythm. It’s that bad. Even if I could sync my music properly I would never use it, which is disappointing because it’s a big reason I chose this product. - The other strobe/blink/fade effects are so basic and boring. But still manage to also not quite work right. The strobe is barely a strobe. Even when boosting the speed. The sensitivity in setting speed is supposed to be 1-100. But it’s more like 1-30. The same can basically be said for all of the special settings. The main thing I bought these for. And they either don’t work or are so horrible I would never use them anyways. I’ve seen extremely cheap made LEDs with more dynamic and working functions. Better ones too. I expected more from such a popular brand. And I was completely disappointed. 3. The colors are not at all accurate. Of the the 15 premade colors on the remote, at least 5 of them are either completely inaccurate or barely noticeably different than another color on the remote. The yellow is lime. The orange is a slightly different lime. The dark orange is a deep yellow. The red orange is orange. The lime green is teal. The light sky blue is more aqua marine, the dark sky blue is barely different than the light sky blue. The dark teal again barely different than the last two colors and not AT ALL teal. It’s more ocean blue. The royal blue looks like a cheap black light attempt. The purple is nearly the same as the previous but doesn’t look purple at all. The plum is magenta. The pink is lilac or lavender. -Those are just the PROVIDED colors on remote. The only true colors are the R G B. The only way to create colors is bigger app. And even that is inaccurate. It also randomly will change the numbers you input. I had to input numbers like 6 times each for it to finally stop adjusting them. -The brightness/dimming buttons almost never work. The color memory slots on app regularly erased themselves or just straight up CHANGED. Other points: I honestly feel like at one point, these LED’s were intentionally cheapened. Almost like they bought a cheap set, and relabeled them to save money and increase profit. I literally feel scammed. It would explain the remote changes at least. Also. The reviews keep changing erratically? Originally the reviews were mostly good. The day I got them and put the first strand up. It suddenly was ALL 1 star negative reviews. I scrolled all the way to may 2020 and found a total of 3 semi decent reviews. (A 4 star and two 3 stars) All of the good reviews I originally saw I could no long find. And now I cannot see even half of the negative reviews anymore. PS. Why must I add/track my location to use the app? Genuine question. In closing. Don’t get these. I think the older model is more trustworthy. There’s a reason why they are popular obviously. And since the updated functions either don’t work or barely do much to begin with, it’s better to just save the extra $10 and get the older model. Use that $10 to get the connectors to connect strands together more easily.

Works great even on flat ceilings!
I put these light strips in our basement storage room. I wanted to make a fun place for the kids, so I installed an outlet with switch and put the lights on the ceiling for them to play with. I wanted to get a remote that wasn't frequency based, since I already had another led strip like that and didn't want it to Hijack control of. The kids love the room we put together for them, because of the fun lights and clouds. Note: The sticky back will pull off a layer of drywall or paint when removed. When I had to remove and adjust, I definitely saw the chunks it was pulling off. All that being said weven had them up for over a month and there have been no pieces that have come down. I also just used the sticky back no other fasteners to keep these on.

Not water proof
This is one year after purchase review! It works as advertised, not problem with the colors, brightness and remote control but what I don’t understand is if it’s advertised as a water proof why it will stop working when I place a small humidifier in my room? Is not submerge in water is just a gentle breeze all around the room! If you are planning on having this on a dry all the time are go for it but at minimal contact with moisture in the air it will go bye bye!
