I used these as quick closure mechanisms on welded wire fencing around newly planted trees, which I made to protect from deer damage. They allow me to quickly open and close the door to the units for access to filling slow draining buckets for deep watering. There're strong and secure, and work great!

These locks with some jack chain and a split ring, securely hold the lids on the seed cans outdoors. The raccoons play tilt and roll with the cans, but the lids never come off. Product works perfectly to keep the chain taught over the lid.

I fabricated 4 rabbit cages and was looking for a sturdy but easy to use door latch. I bought two designs. This one is the winner by far!!!!! The spring loaded design makes it easy to latch. I can even use one hand if my other is full. Installing them was simple. I used two per door. I have been using these for about a month and would purchase these again!!!

The photo made me think it would be more elastic. It is pretty rigid. That can be a good thing depending on your needs. I needed something to help keep dog's crate shut (she figured out how to open the latch). This did the job. The wire thickness on the dog crate was hard to install spring onto. It would be easier to install on something thinner. But if you are using this on something with thinner cage wire this spring is overkill in my opinion.
