A nice brass hammer @ a reasonable price.
I received this 8oz brass hammer in less then a day from the time I ordered it. It's a real nice brass hammer whether it's used for Gunsmithing or not. The only complaint and it only took a few minutes to correct it. On the top side of the hammerhead where the handle comes up through the head the edge of the brass was very poorly finished. It had rough edges on the hole touching the wood handle.. Chances are it wouldn't have hurt anything but I felt better removing the rough edges. Other then that it had the Grace quality. I probably would buy again if I ever need another brass hammer for Gunsmithing or delicate work.

Well Made, Good value for money
If you're purchasing a brass hammer, chances are you already know why you're purchasing it and why you would choose to use one over one made of a ferrous material. This hammer is well crafted and I believe well serve me well. I quite like the unique way the head is attached to the handle, and would recommend this hammer, particularly at it's competitive price point.

Hammer Down!
This 16oz (1lb) brass hammer is just perfect for my usual gunsmithing needs. The smooth handle’s length is just right and even when it gets oily, it’s still easy to keep a firm grip due to its curvature. The balance is also just right and does not bounce like lighter hammers of it’s kind I’ve had in the pass. And as usual, made in the USA quality I always get from Grace USA!

Awesome!
I haven't had the chance to use this brass hammer but I can tell just by holding it that its a solid tool and will make a nice addition for my tool box. I specifically ordered this hammer for gunsmithing work and I am happy with my purchase. I've ordered other Grace tools in the past and they are all quality tools, all made in the USA which is a huge for me.Edit: This is a fine brass hammer. I have hammered pins from gas tube pins to forward assist pins to pins on my Glock and my XD9. 24oz might be a little heavy for some folks but I like the heavier hammer as it helps when you need to drive that one stubborn pin. If you need a lighter hammer just hammer lightly.

Should be a good enough hammer
The head is tight on the handle.I expect the sharp edges would chip off easily (see pictures). It would have been much better if it had edge fillets. The handle end has sander burns. It looks like the burns were done after the handle was finished because there is no coating on or around the burns.

What a beautiful hammer
This hammer is so attractive it is almost a shame to use it. Beautifully finished brass head fit firmly on smooth hardwood handle. Made in USA and budget priced. Have ordered 2 more for gifts.

As expected
Its a brass hammer. Not much to say really. Have not put it through much use yet since it is mainly for more specialty jobs. Seems well made. MADE IN USA which is a major plus. Bought it for firearms work. Maybe the 16oz was a little heavy for that, I imagine I will be choked up on the handle close to the head with this hammer for those types of jobs but I suppose it is better than trying to use too small of a hammer. It appears the hammer head is attached to the handle by pressing in the brass with a punch or something on both sides rather than something like wedges driven into the top of the handle.

A good solid tool
Well made and well balanced. Used to remove and replace pins in a 9mm Shield. Did the job well. A good solid tool. At first I thought it might be a little on the heavy side but turned out to be just right for the work.
