So much fun!
I saw this film on a YouTube video. It showed where all the magnets are in the iPad. I got it because I’m curious and had to see it in person. For the low price it’s well worth it. I’m not sure what else it could be used for but I’m sure there’s something. I did send this to the grandkids and they had fun with it too.For the cost of a kids meal it’s fun to get and try out.

Great for finding hidden alien devices in your head
Now that i got your attention, this green magnetic field picker upper is a fun toy for the kids when they are playing with magnets. Good for seeing the patterns of magnetic fields, and easy to wipe the pattern off the paper with another magnet. Not sure about finding hidden alien devices, but you never know.

It will display around a magnet
Just don't expect any dramatic lines of force extending away from the magnet. What you'll get is gradations of darkness in the immediate vicinity of the magnet.

Works exactly as advertised
I work in IT and I used to use a larger version of this same type of product but need something smaller. This is incredibly helpful in locating speakers or magnets that assist in putting devices to sleep or lock displays. Sometimes when you are blindly tearing down devices you may have to separate screen from enclosures and it can be helpful to know what is around the area you are prying at.

Disappointing
Can barely see anything, even with fairly strong magnets. Maybe this is the limit of this tech but probably better to just get a little clear plastic box filled with iron filings or something.
