I was looking for an accent piece for my mantle that was black with a 'pop', and this fits the bill. The gold part (front of elephant) is very shiny and well done, and the piece is much little than I expected (still sturdy, so this is a plus for me). I wish the line between black and gold wasn't so distinct, but that's just my preference and is exactly how it is described/pictured in the description.

I wanted another elephant to add to my collection. This elephant is elegant and looks very expensive. I LOVE it!
