Hi Pamela, Thanks for your question. It is considered as one size fits all which I understand makes online shopping tricky. The Vest is 79 cms in diameter around the chest (38 cms wide, 48 cms in length) but I know it may be a gift and you are unable to measure the child. The Vest would fit up to an 8 to10 year old depending on the size of the child. The Vest is now very snug on our 8 year old son and we don't zip it up, but our 10 year old son has plenty of room to spare. The Vest is 79 cms in diameter around the chest (38 cms wide, 48 cms in length) however,it may be a gift and you are unable to measure the child. The Vest would fit between an average 4 -6 year old regular sized child and even up to an 8 year old depending on the size of the child. The Vest is now very snug on our 8 year old son but our 10 year old son has plenty of room to spare. If you purchase it and have any size issues, please feel free to contact me and I will help. Hi Kim, Thank you for your question. The Vest is 31ins in diameter around the chest. If you are unable to measure the child, I would say the Vest would fit a regular sized 7 year old. I have an 8 year old and the Vest is very snug on him and a slender 10 year old with plenty of room to spare. If it doesn't fit your child, please feel free to return it. Hope that helps!
