Super easy to do
Very fun and easy to do. My baby’s hand came out so cute and held up beautifully on our tree. I didn’t use both packages but now I’m thinking to use the second for Valentine’s Day :)

Cute!
Very easy to use and works well. I saw some others that had bad reviews. My baby is 14 months old so it’s my fault his hand didn’t fit.. it does state it’s for 0-9 months. Still super cute!

Lovely Kit - Has Everything You Might Need - Simple Project for Kids, Too!
I ordered this to take paw prints from my two 13.5 year old dogs. I figured I should do it now as opposed to in a time of stress right after they pass someday. My dogs are small, so I was able to get three good prints from one box, and I still have some of the clay leftover.I used a cookie cutter to cut the shape around the prints since the cutter provided is for childrens’ hands and is too large for my small dogs’ paws. The kit was so easy to use, the clay was moist and workable, and the additional decorative elements included are great. I will probably frame my paw prints with photos as a keepsake for the future, so I didn’t require the ribbons, but they are nice. After getting my dogs prints, it took about two days for the clay to dry thoroughly. I took someone else’s advice and covered them loosely with a damp paper towel to prevent cracking - Worked a treat! If you’re making ornaments with your kids, I think this is a great kit.

Good kit, possibly could DIY without
I bought this same brand for my oldest 3 years ago and now for my newborn. This kit has everything you need, but you could probably buy a tub of air dry clay at your local superstore and use a plastic straw to poke a hole in it just the same. The added bonus of the kit is the ribbons to hang your ornament, a plastic straw, a small roller, circle molds, and now they have plastic letters to imprint with (they didn't used to have the letter board), but the letters are so ridiculously tiny that I don't think they would be useful. Edit: I used a different brand kit recently on my 4 year old son and the air dry clay was more lightweight and pliable like taffy or styrofoam, compared to this brand which is like heavyweight stone once dry... This is much better quality. My child was two months old by the time I got around to getting hand and footprints done, but there was no way I could get two hand/foot prints using one of their circle cutter mold, so I ended up free handing it and made a larger circle, using the rolling pin to push in the edges for a more perfect circle. My other complaint is that the rolling pin is not wide enough so the edges of the rolling pin create lines that you then have to go back and try to smooth out, but the pin just creates more lines as you do that. Being a perfectionist I redid my prints about 5 times, slightly wetted one hand before re-kneading the clay so it wouldn't dry out and it worked every time without drying out.A couple tips: try to work in a sterile environment (clean countertops) and wear a clean short sleeve shirt. I kept setting my rolling pin random places on the kitchen counter and picking up food particles with it. I also picked up little lint/threads of fabric that likely came from my clothes and had to pick them out with a toothpick. It is definitely easier to get the prints done with two people helping. I rolled the clay out on wax paper on a cookie sheet then transferred it to a salad plate when getting the impressions. Uncurl their hands and release their fingers just above the clay.

Easy to use
Bought this to do with my newborn. Was easy to mold, not super messy and was easy to manipulate. Came with more shaping items than expected.

Great keepsake!
These turned out great as keepsake Christmas ornaments for my 1.5 year old! I rolled out the “dough” with a regular rolling pin (not the one provided), cut it out, stuck his hand in it, and left it to dry! Easy! I really wanted to write in the clay, but couldn't find anything that didn't look terrible so I ended up using the straw they provided to make the 18 (for 2018) which came out pretty nice, and I settled for writing the name, age, and date on the back with a pen.I ended up getting three ornaments out of it, two are the thickness of the one pictured and one was thinner. I left them to dry between sheets of wax paper and didn’t have any trouble with cracking, though drying did take longer than the package suggested.Once dry, I sanded the outside edges with fine grit sandpaper just to make them nice and smooth and wrote on the back with a ballpoint pen before glazing it. I was worried the ink might run with the glaze, but it didn't. I really think the glaze just gives it that extra something that makes it look like a really nice finished product. My kid’s hand will probably be too big next year, but I’ll definitely come looking for another kit if we have any more children.
