My almost-3 year old twins want to be Captain Hook and Mr. Smee for halloween, and this hook is perfect for the costume. It's inexpensive but seems sturdy enough to last the night. If they break or lose it, oh well, it was only a couple bucks. But after halloween it will go into the dress up clothes until it breaks or gets lost. It's no substitute if you really do lose your hand to a crocodile, but it's fine if you just want to pretend.

I don't understand why the hook is not attached to cuff..my 3 year old is bound to lose one piece within the next day of having it.

Pretty flimsy. Bought some others at a local novelty store for close to the same price and couldn't believe the difference in quality.
