This was exactly what I required when my wife told me that her passenger side mirror somehow came unattached from the backing plate on her 2015 VW. I assume it was normal wear and tear as it is a heated mirror. (Constant use of heated mirror over a period of 9 years) Believe it or not it is only held on with 2 sided adhesive. Das Auto. I, like many, experienced the consequences of leaving your mirror heaters on all of the time. VW’s don’t seem to have an auto-off function so the adhesive on the glass will eventually dry out, and your mirror glass will fall out, rather comically.This is a great option to replace the glass for a substantial amount less than a dealer. I was quoted over $200 to replace the glass.This glass just sticks onto the heater element. It’s easy to line up. Pop it back in and you’re good to go.
