Awesome little kit
I was a bit sceptical as I’ve never grown tomatoes and didn’t know if they would all germinate.I covered them with a little bit of clingfilm and put them in the windowsill. Can’t believe how quickly they’ve come through, so excited now to see if I can actually get them to produce tomatoes 😊

Brilliant seeds.
Bought these as a gift & the money makers have taken over the conservatory! Hundreds coming from four plants we kept. The rest we had to gift because of how much was growing.

Everything you need to germinate seeds. I recommend swapping the into larger pots when they start producing leaves

My Mum Is Impressed
Okay, I guess that you might be able to get these seeds individually cheaper but this does make for a pretty good small gift for a gardener. In this case I asked my mum to grow these because she loves to grow tomatoes, starting them off in her greenhouse. There is a good variety of tomatoes and I'm not going to go through them all here. However, it's interesting to compare types such as the Ace 55 which is a heritage tomato to the Moneymaker or Heinz 1350. From my tasting I'd say that the older ones are definitely less sweet but for me taste better. That probably comes from spending time with my grandfather in the early 1970's who simply loved his garden and in particular growing veg.One thing I would say is that each type required a different approach to growing with different requirements for pruning and training or not as the case may be. My advice or rather my mums - would be to read up for each type and deal with each accordingly. The kit comes with pots and peat free compost discs which my mum immediately didn't use. She uses a mix of compost, peat and rotted cow manure. Works for her.Overall, a great gift for a green fingered person but, read up on each variety first.

A great idea and a good gift for the gardener in your life.
This is a great little kit of 10 different types of tomato seeds to grow yourself at home. The kit comes in a really attractive little canvas orange bag, and I think it would be great to give as a gift. The kit contains 10 very sweet little plant pots, 10 compost discs, 10 plant markers and of course the seeds. The seeds are all individually wrapped inside a resealable plastic pouch. The varieties are 10 x Tomato Yellow Pear seeds, 10 x Tomato Marmande Seeds, 10 x Tomato Moneymaker seeds, 10 x Tomato Roma VF Seeds, 10 x Tomato Ace 55 VF Seeds, 10 x Tomato Brandywine Pink Seeds, 10 x Tomato Heinz 1350 Seeds, 10 x Tomato San Marzano 2 Seeds, 10 x Tomato Black Cherry Seeds, 10 x Tomato Tigerella Seeds. I didn’t receive the Black Cherry which is a shame but was sent Red Cherry instead.I am looking forward to growing some new varieties of tomato later this year. Think that the pack is a good idea, although the pots are a little too small in my opinion and you don’t get a lot of seeds in each pack but I think that this is a great idea and a good gift for the gardener in your life.
