I love this collar so much, I bought a second one for our adolescent cane corso. It has worked beautifully for our two very high drive dogs. They learned very quickly to answer to the page, but on occasion we have to use the correction. I really did not care for the way the buttons were organized on the multi-dog units. I preferred this unit immensely and just carry two handheld controls. I cannot say enough good things about this training collar. My dogs are 65 and 85 pounds and they are not too bulky - nice size.

Great for hard head dog. I hated walking my bully. He is so strong and wants to pull everywhere he goes. I started using the collar with no leash and he is a hole different dog. If he goes to far and not following verbal commands. I hit the vibrate button and he starts doing what I want. No pain for me or him. I originally got it because I lived on 5 acres with no fence. Sometimes he would go visit neighbors dogs and not come when called. It has a nice range. The neighbors said their dog is not bothered by the shock collars. But they bought a cheap one. This collar I am sure would work on their dog too. I used a minimum setting. And it got his attention. Only had to shock a few times. Now only use vibrate for past few years.

We have a German Shepherd - Siberian Husky mix. Intelligence of the shepherd, independence of the husky. Tricky and destructive. We worked with a trainer who used positive reinforcement. Failed. He only obeyed when he wanted to and only if you showed him the treat first. Enter a trainer who trains police, military, and special assistance dogs. Need a dog that does what you tell him, when you tell him, no matter what? That's what the shock collar helps enforce. Have to charge it a lot more frequently than I expected for how infrequently I need to use the correction now that the dog is trained. But the training worked like a charm.

This is my second one. Except this one is the black edition. The first one works so good. I brought another for my other dog. This one has the boost function which my other 1900s doesn’t and cheaper then buying it at the dog trainer. Wish I would’ve ordered both from Amazon.
