Heck no. I do the terminator reload with it all the time. I increased the spring capacity of the shell ejection so that the shells pop all the way out.

Can the stock be removed?

You can use a screwdriver and screw it off. It should only take around 5 minutes.

Are the darts a "regular" nerf size? Or, does it take special sized darts?

They are basically elite darts, just in a different color.

Is the ammo storage on the back of the gun detactable

The ammo storage is part of the stock. If you're asking if the stock is detachable, the answer is "yes," but with a caveat: You'll have to unscrew the handle section of the blaster in order to remove it. It's not glued in, it just lifts out. There is a modification out there where you can modify the end of your stock so that you can "click" it into and out of the base of the handgrip without unscrewing things. But without that modification, you have to take the gun apart to remove or replace it.
