I just received these and they are exactly as pictured in the listing. However, there is no ratchet mechanism; the packaging describes every other feature but makes no mention of a ratchet mechanism. The safety lock is a little difficult to latch due to a slight alignment issue, but I can overcome that okay. I'm disappointed these aren't ratcheting, and I'm dropping one star since they otherwise seem to be decent shears.

Gave it a 2 star because it says it is Ratcheting but it is NOT.Otherwise it is a Good Pruners. I was holding it after cutting a few really hard dead limbs and it F N Cut me. Sliced my finger like a razor. OMG I expected sharp but Gamn.Had I just bought it for a Pruner it would have gotten 5 stars. False Advertising is not OK in my book.If you want Ratcheting this is not it. I still got some grip so I will keep it.

If you NEED a mechanical advantage in pruners, DO NOT buy these. They use a clever roller pivot Design, but do not ratchet, nor do they give ANY mechanical advantage ! Granted, they work WELL, but in actual Professional use today, they worked no better than my other 2 sets.Deceptive Advertising.

I was amazed at the cutting power of this tool! I should say that 90 percent of the pruning was accomplished with little hand strain. A very handy tool to add to garden equipment. Ergonomic handle was beneficial. Recommended.
