Nothing special
I used this masking tape around the edges of the wall I was painting. The adhesion is unsuitable that the paint managed to seep beneath the tape. I would only recommend this tape for small painting jobs on delicate items of furniture… not good for walls unfortunately

Don’t buy for painting!
Don’t buy, it’ll end up taking your paint off the wall!Recently had a wall re-plastered, and as a result through the I’d paint properly and mask off every than bodge it.Primed my new plaster walls like your supposed to and after it was dry, used this tape to mask and ultimately create a nice straight edge after I’d finished painting. The product states it should remove with no paint coming off the wall, but as you can see, it’s obviously not done that! Also your only supposed to leave it on for a max of 14 days, this in the images is a result from 3 days.Very disappointed to say the least, especially with the price you pay.Regular masking tape does the job, and doesn’t rip your paint off the wall!Stay away.

Perfect for my needs.
I’m currently decorating my lounge. Ordinarily I would be replacing the carpet on any room I’m decorating but in this case I’m not so I needed a way to protect it when painting my skirting boards. This is a medium tack tape especially for textured surfaces so I was hopeful it would stick to my carpet. It worked perfectly. It was strong enough that I could ease it down between the carpet and skirting board using the decorators blade shown in my photo but you could use a scraper. It tears by hand and is quite malleable and it’s strong too and nice and wide. I’ve since painted my skirting boards and got no paint on the carpet. I see that people had used this on newly painted walls and it pulled off the paint. Personally I won’t be using this in that way . I prefer to use a low tack tape not medium tack but the full info on this product does say to scour the tape before removing it from walls so that might help with this. I cannot confirm if that would be the case as I haven’t used it that way. The tape I’ve got left will be very useful for my art projects. Great for keeping tracing paper in place whilst preparing patterns for pyrography…I have tested this and it’s fab. It peels off the tracing paper without ripping it. So in conclusion this tape was fantastic for my needs and I’d definitely use it again. Good value for money as it goes a long way.

Not the greatest.
Hit and miss product. I found the gloss paint often leached through the edges, no matter how well the area was prepared or the tape was used. However, it still performs better than many other products available on Amazon. My guess is that much of the loss in performance has occurred through storage and handling, there did not seem to be any care in how the product arrived.

A great discovery!
I often wondered what was meant by "blue tape" in the US woodworking magazine I read - then I worked out it's this excellent stuff. It is so much better than the ordinary cream-coloured masking tape used in the UK. I use it for all sorts of things beyond masking, such as holding joints together whilst glueing or taping up plastic bags of hardware. So many uses. I've tried generics, but this branded product does seem to be the best.

A bit too good...
Excellent quality as is to be expected from a Scotch product however the tape pull some chunks of paint from the wall I was painting so it did its job a bit too well. It wasn't too bad, but it's the first time that's happened to me with painters tape. Despite these tiny issues I'm quite happy with it and would use it again.
