Blueprint Reading for Welders, Spiral bound Version

Good book, unless you’re advised to get a spiral book though get a hardback book…. The back covers kinda tear off easily

Great source of information comes with example blue prints to refer to as you study gives you a test after each session for me it helps to do them. If your someone starting from square one and trying to add value to yourself this is the book for you. The one thing that bothers me is that it's very delicate it is very easy to damage this book so handle with care and store it in a safe place out of reach of children if you have them.

looks straight forward and with pages of learning to blueprint. I love shapes and manipulate images to my head to clear it up very simple the least. it comes with a couple of blueprints to get a concept on what blueprinting all about. I'm just new at welding since learning new stuff is exciting looking forward to it.

Be aware that there is not 1 page of isometric graph paper in this book. Im hoping there's not too much isometric drawing required in later chapters but one would hope that if you are gonna require isometric drawings there might be a page or 2 provided plenty of 1/4" square and oblique drawing paper

Book should have come with a reference wheel in the front of the book to be able to determine symbols easily (the wheel would be on the page in the second photo, I know this because the copy my instructor uses has this symbol, and his is not an instructors version or anything). Instead, it now has a page telling you how to get to a website app that has the wheel instead. Ok, fair enough, an app is a good option for some people instead of a paper wheel that may break or whatever. The page in the book says it should be listed under "Free Resources" on the website when you search for the given ISBN. There isn't a "Free Resources" link anywhere on the page that the ISBN search takes you to.So, I call customer support. Customer support tells me that I need to purchase a subscription to Cengage Unlimited, to get access to the symbols wheel, which, by the way, used to be included in the book! Oh, but they told me that they can send me a free preview! Oh great! Thanks!Here we have an example of a company taking advantage of students. Having to pay for something else that used to be included in the text, and they only have an online version. An online version is useless because I don't have a PC in my welding booth and I do not bring my phone in with me.Disappointing, but I guess we can't expect more than that from any textbook publisher./endrant

I think this is one of the best training course book I got beside Welding Print Reading / Edition 6 from a technical college. This one has a lot of information on ISO (other country) and AWS (USA) welding symbol which some of the instructor doesn't even know what ISO symbol are, and a few workplaces that I know start using them now. It has about 400 pages, and about 6 blow-up blueprint at the end of the book which are 4 time as big as a sheet of paper that is folded. Pages are color blue to show the feature of the drawings and diagram to make it easier to understand and follow. Would recommend it to anyone that want to learn how to read blueprint and welding symbol.
