Love the Philips Hue Gradient Lightstrip effects and it's easy to setup, various beautiful gradient color effects can be set on the Philips Hue app, connection with Philips Hue Bridge are very stable, works well with Google Assistant.Smart lighting is already in the consumer market for almost 10 years, I truly hope Philips Hue products price can be more affordable, it's too expensive still compare to other brands which has similar features.Overall, I'm delighted the purchase. This is worth the extra, to get the Gradient version. The colour transition is much more pleasant. The strip is excellent quality, it’s easy to trim. Functionality via the app is superb. It looks a hundred times better than cheaper strips.It doesn’t stick very well though, keeps unpeeling itself. Will have to purchase third party tape for this.

I have been a Hue owner for many years, but this is the first time we invested in a light strip. After getting new furniture with limited plug sockets available, this was the obvious choice to create fantastic mood lighting with a gradient of three different colours. It was relatively easy to install, however the strip is "stiffer" than cheaper brands so bear that in mind if you want it to bend around corners, it might not work so well. It stuck to our furniture just fine, but surface preparation is everything for a good adhesion. A polished surface will stick better than a textured one. Make sure you dust and wipe first. Connectivity was a breeze, just do it through the app.

Purchased this product three times and had to return everyone because of the same faults. If not straight away, within a few days sections of the lights fail by not working at all or displaying the wrong colour. These run in cycles of six so you end up with a 4 inch patch that does not match the strips colour…To add the adhesion to anything other than glass is absolutely rubbish, if you’re lucky for them to work long enough, within a couple of days They just come unstuck and fall off…And why on earth someone thought it would be a good idea to cut the backing paper to get to the adhesion into 20 separate pieces which need to be peeled off 1 by 1 before you can stick it to anything, is beyond my comprehension…!!!

I had one already in my light setup but was changing everything and decided to look for alternative as I needed a lot of length for my idea and that meant a lot of money. Went with Govee. Well that was a mistake. Had to tear everything down again, order more Hue because you cannot beat Hue. The colours are from another world. The fluidity, transitions between segments, functionality are just amazing. Yes, they are pricey but you get what you paid for (same goes for govee lol). Works with everything seamless. Got my gaming pc setup with screen mirroring, got my automations. Just seamless and perfect. And for someone who’s obsessed with getting a great colour, nothing can match Hue

totally love this light strip as a new addition to our Philips hue household. We have had lightbulbs from Philips hue for the last few years and we were looking for a new light strip for our TV unit.As can be expected from Philips it’s a fantastic product and integrates with system easily, we have only been using it for a week or so. I like the fact that there are 3 zones of lights in the strip which all blend in together.It’s a little pricey for the length that you get, we ideally would have needed to trim a tiny part off, but because you can only trim to where they advise we would have been loosing a sizeable chunk for the price it costs. We compromised and had a small overhang with the wire at the end of the TV unit that we dont really see.All in all a fantastic product

I’m firmly embedded in the Hue ecosystem. I have 39 lights (comprising E27/B22 white/ambiance bulbs; floor standing Signes; outdoor spotlights; Festivia string lights; filament bulbs; Hue Plays; Hue Sanas; a number of V4 lightstrips. I bought my first starter pack of E27 white/colour ambiance bulbs in January 2016 and have been slowly expanding my collection ever since. I’m a fan, a big fan.In all that time I’ve only had to return one E27 bulb which stopped after about a year (replaced under warranty).Of the four 2m gradient light strips and two 1m extensions I’ve bought, I’ve had to return three 2m strips and one 1m strip which all suffered from the extremely common colour defect in a section of the strip caused by a poor connection.The latest replacement gradient strip sent by Philips will have to be sent back too as it suffers the same defect as the original I returned under warranty.When they work they look great; however, my experience has been extremely disappointing, especially the alarming number of units sold internationally that possess the exact same manufacturing defect. I hope that future iterations of this product will have undergone/undergo far more rigorous testing.

So these are no doubt fantastic lights, we’ve purchased 3 in total over the years and they really add atmosphere to our living room.My only gripe is not the actually product itself but a change to the sticky backing to the lights. Both my previous lights had a 3M backing, however these new ones seem to be non branded and are actually awful at sticking. It’s already started to peel off, which is highly disappointing for a pretty expensive product and well branded name.Is this a one off or had Phillips moved to a cheaper alternative to cut costs? I might write of to Phillips directly as ask them, as its quite sad that I have to tape them to the skirting board!!
