I usually wear my Omnipod 5 unit on my waist right about my belt-line. The pod has a tendency to get snagged on my pants or jacket and this little soft plastic "bumper" gives just enough protection to avoid that. I use a second sticky patch over it and the pod and the only issue is that then it is hard to remove without some help. (I use a liquid adhesive solvent to soften the over-patch and then it comes right off. ) These pods are too important (to a diabetic) and too expensive to risk having one get pulled off before its time.

I’m not sure if I got a badly shaped one that isn’t shaped right or what but this isn’t very secure- instruction card says “push down on narrow end until it snaps into place” but I’m on my 3rd change and it does not snap into place so I feel it lift up even with the overlay patch on it. And the center cut out for the cath window is very off center so it’s looking at more of the front end than the cath window.

Doesn't lay flush to the skin and the pieces that came with it weren't the tape. 1/10 not recommend

We have covers like this for both the Omnipod & the Dexcom. Our son is very active & kept getting his diabetes supplies ripped off (not the whole thing sticker included, only the device where the dexcom or omnipod's body is sort of detached from the sticker) something would catch on that & it would come off. With these covers nothing has ever been ripped off. They are comfortable and stay on & protect your supplies. You can buy multiple colors so that they match any sticker you might put.
