Bought eight of these, and all turned out fine. One did have a minor dent on it, but all closed snug with no issues.

If, like me, you don't really have room to store a lot of partially-filed gallon cans of paint, you can decant the leftover into one of these quart cans and save a lot of room. They are also good for sloppy painters who ruin the seal on a paint can and need a new one. These are not very thick or sturdy, but for their intended purpose of storing paint they are fine. Just don't whale away at the lid when you are closing it. A gentle tap all around with a wide-bladed screwdriver is all it takes.

Because of some of the negative reviews, I was skeptical about buying these quart paint cans. I received two of them last week and use them to store leftover paint from gallon cans. I am very pleased with them. After four days, neither of them are leaking. The lids fit like they are supposed to. Since the cans are a lighter guage metal than "normal" paint cans, I was careful when placing the lids (see negative reviews). I used a rubber mallet and gently tapped the first one into place with numerous light taps around the lid. The second one I used a wide blade screwdriver in the groove of the lid to push down gently all around the lid. Light taps with the rubber mallet completed the seal. I am so pleased with the cans that I ordered more. They will save tons of room in my garage. If the metal was just a little stronger, I would give the product five stars. Recommended.

I make touch lamps from these and they are great. Plenty sturdy, and always shipped with care (have purchased other types on Amazon that have arrived dented). Very happy with this brand and company!

These worked great for what I needed them for.. to hold paint.. GREAT craft item too!

Bought these for leftover paint from a 5-gallon bucket (to save space). Everything was great until I tapped the lid on using a hammer—the side crumpled. It’s still functional, but there’s no other way to secure the lid without using a hammer (it doesn’t pop into place). So if you buy, be careful or you could have a real mess on your hands.

I'm using these to make emergency heaters using toilet paper and 70% rubbing alcohol.

What I was looking for, a can that left over shellac could be put in it with it 'sealing' properly so that the shellac doesn't develop a thick coat from drying up because of air seaping in. I even reordered 4 more.
